Four friends went here for lunch and got there early so took up two tables which makes it difficult as the eating area is really small. The sandwiches--Cuban, Roast Turkey (t&a) and the Roast Beef (if forget its name) were just outstanding. Such good meat! So tender and tasty. Hear the chicken is outstanding as well. We'll be back but maybe take the sandwiches which are nicely packed in a paperbag to a park and eat outside. They need a bigger place!

On business and this place was 2 miles from our training facility. OMG! A must eat place if you want a giant hot hoagie with chips and soda for $12. You will be full and unable to eat dinner. It is hard to find (sign is faded - so you might miss it and have to turn around). I could have eaten lunch here every day. This is a tiny place that fills up and I know why. Don't miss this if you are visiting.

This is the 4th restaurant I've visited in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area featured on the show Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. The others were OK but this one really delivered! The menu is simple. 4 or so sandwiches with a side around $8, bottled drinks are available for an extra dollar. I ordered the Reuben with potato salad and the Reuben was one of the best I've had! The sandwich is generous size and the corned beef was juicy, flavorful and well coated in a light 1000 island dressing on toasted rye with cabbage with melty cheese. My only suggestion would be to add green chile. The potato salad had a light mayo and paprika coating which was an unexpected twist on one of my favorites, I just wish the side serving was larger. I drove by this place so the easiest thing to do is to pull into the Blake's parking lot and then you will see the small brown building across the lot. I'll have to come back to try the other sandwiches and their new breakfast menu offered on Saturday.

Sometimes it may be a challenge to make sandwiches unique......but the folks at Bocadillos has found a way! The TnA sandwich on wheat was unlike any other turkey sandwich I have ever had! The website details each sandwich which will make your choice a difficult one....they all sound great. They are only open for lunch so make sure to plan to get there during lunch hours.....you will not be disappointed!

In what appears to be a warehouse in a metal building hides a wonderful sandwich shop. Bocadillos is tucked between a Blake's Lotaburger and an Allsups and they serve up some of the tastiest sandwiches in Albuquerque.

On our first visit we had a good "5-0-Philly" and an outstanding "Albuquerque Ruben." The Ruben has to rank among the city's top three. The chef's side of the day was the Green Chile Chicken Chowder and it was fantastic!

Only being open from 11 am to 2:30 pm weekdays is the only thing keeping me from rating Bocadillos a 5.

Note: Bocadillos is a cash only establishment.
