Wonderful, clean and great hosts. Doesn't hurt that it is close to the best in Alb. The hosts seem to remember their Polish background! And the Old Town and Natural History Museum can't be met. what about the pizza place Farina- wow!

This place is immaculate, comfortable, and affordable. Owners are friendly, and the outdoor pool is delightful and really clean. The rooms are really clean. It's dated for sure - think 1985 - but, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms spacious. The location is perfect for walking around Old Town. That said, make your own plans - I think the owners get a kickback from restaurants when they send guests to them (see review of Church St. Cafe). The only negative, there are some quirky things about the place. It's a one-way parking lot and it's not easy to get right back to your room. The change machine in the ice/vending area only accepts dimes. Yes, dimes. And, the registration area is not always open - the owners do all of the grounds work as well - so sometimes you have to chase someone down to get what you need. But, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: We stayed next in the room next to the registration office and didn't hear a peep at all. I'd say there's not a bad room at this place.

The Monterey Non-smokers Motel is a trip back into the past that folds around you like a comfortable chair. Everything is as we remembered it from the '50's, but cleaner and better maintained. (everything worked perfectly!)
Location was close to all the attractions we had wanted to see, especially historic Old Albuquerque.
Our host and hostess, (the Owners) were most congenial, helpful and all around "nice people"
to talk to and be around.
We would highly recommend this Motel to everyone who reads this article, and we are planning a return trip next year.

Many Thanks for a Great Visit, Good Conversations each day, and a special hug and kiss
to Victor. All this made our trip a memorable one.

Really have nothing to add that others haven't covered. Cheap, convenient, clean and an easy walk to Old Town this is a perfect location. The rooms are large and quiet - and although an old building the place echoes the care that is obviously take to maintain it.

Well maintained and spotless, this vintage Route 66 motor hotel is everything other reviews report. The owner-manager is accommodating and helpful with area attractions and restaurants. Just a 5 minute walk to the historic plaza, it is well located and a true delight and exceptional value.
