“OMG! ”
Reviewed 25 February 2014 via mobile

We came here looking for a place to eat after a 7 hrs drive. There wasn't a lot of people when we arrived but the place was organized and clean. Our server was cordial and knowledgable of the menu, very friendly as well. Everything we ate was excellent. The burger, the tacos and the enchiladas. Seems the majority of the business come for dinner based on previous reviews but it would not disappoint for lunch. It is inside the Hispanic Center. A must go if you are in ABQ.

“Gourmet Brunch”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

If you're coming for brunch, make sure you bring your appetite because they have lots to offer and it is all good. This is no run-of-the-mill menu. In addition to the buffet spread of a decadent prawn quiche (I had to have a second piece!), forest mushroom and ratatouille tart, French toast, and fresh fruits and vegetables alongside smoked salmon and rolled ham and cheese crepes, you can also order one made-to-order item from the kitchen. The selections include a really good paella with lots of seafood, chile rellenos, huevos rancheros, carne adovada, tenderloin benedict, and more. Then as if that wasn't enough, they have a dessert table full of very yummy options like a really good flourless chocolate cake, apple bread pudding, seven layer bars, lemon bars, and a respectable flan. Combine this great food with equally great service in a beautiful setting, and you have a great option for Sunday brunch.

“Great Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed 25 February 2013

This is a hidden gem. Under a new management the place serves more than New mexican food. They serve a great brunch. I loved their paella. Their shrimp quiche is soft and yet holds its form. Custom made omelettes & lox. Of course they have plenty of desserts

“Excellent! No other word describes it”
Reviewed 27 January 2013

The restaurant is located on the grounds of the Hispanic Cultural Center on 4th Street. There is plentiful parking, however, do park on the west end of the lot which will place you closer to the restaurant door.

We had the Sunday Brunch - it was so good! The current price for brunch is $22 per person. The price included coffee, juice, the buffet, a choice of entrees off the menu and the (heavenly) dessert table. The buffet includes bagels and lox, fresh fruit and veggies, wonderful french toast, crepes, and freshly made omelets. That's right...you can enjoy the buffet AND an entree from the Sunday menu. Alcoholic beverages were extra.

The service was great and the waitress very helpful and vigilant. We left feeling that we had "dined" instead of eaten.

Call ahead for reservations and to check the days and times they are open.

“A lovely brunch spot”
Reviewed 23 January 2013

My husband and I recently had brunch at La Fonda del Bosque thanks to a Groupon offering. We hadn't been before but we will definitely be back. The brunch was a mix of buffet items and an entree from the menu. The buffet included bagels and lox, ceviche, rice, quiche, french toast and blintzes. I ordered the paella from the menu and it was quite good, full of muscles, shrimp, little clams and fish. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict which came in a tortilla bowl with chorizo underneath. I personally thought the eggs Benedict was better than the paella, but both were quite good. The French toast on the buffet was delicious and the quiche was very good as well. Service was pleasant and personable and the price was reasonable, even without the Groupon. We will definitely try it for dinner some night.
