“Nice place, interesting food!”
Reviewed 25 May 2013

Had a chili dish with green peppers that was delicious. VERY generous with the beef and not too badly priced. Around $11 with a soft drink and tax. Nice place, too. Internet access, wide open dining room on two levels. Order at a counter and they bring the food out to you. Enjoyed it and plan to return.

“This place FEELS good...zippy, jazzy, big city comfy cool”
Reviewed 21 May 2013

Love this place on the weekend when the business crowd is not around. Students, guys from the fire station across the street, city-dwellers fill the place, but it is not packed. The food is good, varied, certainly more sophisticated than usual in Albuquerque. Steadily climbing prices at all the Flying Star locations have sort of dampened the fun. But still this local chain is a first choice over and over.

“Gorgeous space, decent coffee”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

And that is about it. The grand space that John Gaw Meem designed now houses a branch of the popular Flying Star franchise. I expect if you want dessert, you will find something from the case at the counter, but their offerings are a pale sliver of the sumptuous offerings you will find at the other branches. As for our lunches--fish tacos that were mostly glop sauce and tough flour tortillas, at like 12 bucks, and a really lousy version of the good-elsewhere Turkey Jack sandwich (almost no cheese, a smear of green chile that was mainly chile SKIN, for heaven's sake, and soggy and tasteless overall)--we would have done way better hitting Golden Pride for takeout burritos on the way home. The service was just fine, but management needs a lot better quality control on the food if they want people to do more than buy a cuppa coffee and plug in to surf the net.

“Eclectic atmosphere, locally grown organic goodness.”
Reviewed 28 April 2013 via mobile

Went here on a recommendation of a friend and was glad we did. We had the New Mexico Stew and it was delicious. Everything is fresh and from scratch here. Can't wait to get back to Nob Hill and try their bakery! Killer looking cupcakes!

“Delicious”

Organic food from scratch! Need I say more? I had the Eggs Florentine, Fresh Squeezed OJ, and coffee. I give them a triple Yum rating!
