“ANOTHER GOOD STAY IN A LA QUINTA HAVE STAYED IN MANY THIS ONE IS GOOD”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Nice quick check in receptionist was helpful as most La Quinta's are but not all, nice room although part of the air con was coming apart. Bed was good enough but not as good as all the others we have slept on with La Quinta--maybe needs replacing.
Breakfast was very good with more choices than usual.
Receptionist at check out was not friendly.

Good morning and thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. I am happy you had a great stay with us, but I'm sorry that your checkout experience was not a positive one. I will speak with the agent who was on duty that morning and let her know about the negative impression she left with you. This is not the level of service I expect from my team. I certainly hope you will stay with us again.

We had a great experience staying here while driving cross country. We had a toddler and 3 dogs so we were very worried about were we would stop for the night. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Plenty of areas for the dogs to go potty and run around. And the breakfast was great too! Oh and staff were very nice! Highly recommend this hotel!

Thank you for your awesome review! We understand that our guests are "road weary" after spending the day in a car, so we make sure to have plenty of areas for them to relax and stretch their legs. The enclosed courtyard is a great place for our four legged guests to rid themselves of all that energy. I am so happy to hear all of you enjoyed your stay and I certainly hope to see you again the next time you visit our fair city. Have a great day!

The LaQuinta in midtown Albuquerque is a great place to stay while in the area. The friendly staff answered all of our questions. The room was great. The breakfast was as good or better than other places we have stayed. The breakfast room was nicely arranged and the employee staffing the room was friendly also. We will certainly plan to stay here when we returm to this area.

This is the most expensive of the LQ's in Albuquerque, but it missed the mark for me. The hotel is built on a "flagpole" lot, well back from the street. The hotel covered drive-up registration entry is too narrow at one point for more than one car, so if someone is parked in front of you while checking in, it can be frustrating, as it was for us. This is just poor planning in laying out the driveway. The lobby area is spacious and has a nice welcoming feel. The room was fine and the condition of the carpet and furnishings were like new, but the bathroom did show its age a bit. The sink faucet was loose and made noise depending on the water volume flow. The breakfast is typical LQ. The most frustrating thing was that the internet service was very poor, and I have been spolied by LQ's excellent WiFi at all locations which I have come to expect. This was the exception. It requires a password, and was difficult to log on. Then it seemed that the system logged me off every 10 minutes. I finally gave up trying to use it.

Good morning and thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to hear you had difficulty in our loading area. Often times we do have multiple guests trying to check in at one time, and I can understand how it might get overcrowded with vehicles, people, and luggage carts when that happens. I am also sorry that you had difficulty staying connected to the internet. We do have several routers throughout the hotel and the guests seldom have trouble with the service. I hope this does not deter you from staying with us again the next time you visit Albuquerque, and please don't hesitate to ask for a room specifically next to one of the routers. I hope we have the honor of seeing you again soon.

We stayed here on a couple of different times while traveling across country and both times it was a very pleasant experience. The rooms are nicely appointed and very clean. The hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast bar is great. We would definitely stay here again.

Saw other reviews saying how this hotel spoiled them for all other LaQuinta hotels and booked a room for 1 night while traveling through Albuquerque. From the moment we arrived there was a very strong smell of dogs (we are pet lovers but leave ours at a kennel while traveling, just so you know we aren't anti-dog) We could hear the constant barking of large dogs in the room next door (not sure why the hotel wouldn't put those w/dogs on a different floor than those w/o?) The lobby, hallways, elevator and our room smelled like a kennel. If you are traveling with dogs, then this might be the place for you. There were dirty handprints on doors/walls. We couldn't leave this hotel fast enough.

Thank you for sharing your view with us. We always look forward to hearing from our guests. You are correct in that we are a pet friendly hotel, as are all LaQuintas across the nation, Mexico, and Canada. It is just one of many benefits LaQuinta has to offer. We understand the importance of our guests being able to travel with their beloved pets without any worries, therefore, we do not discriminate. Since we are one of the more popular LaQuinta locations for those guests who travel with pets (because of our pet courtyard and barbecue area), we do tend to see a bit more of them than some of the other LaQuintas do. As a result, we go above and beyond to ensure the cleanliness of our hotel in order to reduce exposure to pet dander and hair; and I must say, we do an excellent job. I can assure you we would never receive the high marks and reviews that we do if our hotel "smelled like a kennel" from the minute you walk in the door. Again, I appreciate it when our guests take the time to write a review.
