“Italy In Albuquerque”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

We found this winery purely by accident. What a stroke of luck! Driving through the gate you immediately think of Italy. Rows of vines on either side of the drive, and at the end of the drive the estate house of your dreams. The atmosphere is subdued and lovely. Comfortable seating areas abound and the courtyard is the perfect place to enjoy your wine. You are welcome to tour the buildings, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. A perfect ending to any busy day.

“Beautiful scene”
Reviewed 18 October 2013

what a wonderful vineyard setting tucked in Albuquerque. We did the reds only wine tasting and discovered the 1629 wine. A very nice wine. We bought a glass and just sat outside in their courtyard and just enjoyed the lovely scenery and relaxed. A very pleasant experience. Worth the visit.

“A wonderful oasis in the city”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

We spent a lovely afternoon at the Casa Rondena Winery during the Balloon Festival. It was an excellent place to sit outside amidst the vines and relax and enjoy wine and cheese while listening to live music (from 4 to 7 weekly, I believe). After the wine and cheese, we drove around the block to the Las Poblanos Open Space to watch the sunset (and simultaneously watch the sun hit the Sandias as it set). It isn't easy to find a good space in the city for that viewpoint, but Los Poblanos OS was perfect. There were many locals walking their pets and people tending a community garden, which made us feel at home and less like the tourists we were.

“Wedding”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

Great little winery that is well maintained and has a great staff. We were there for a wedding and they took great care of us and the location for the ceremony and brunch were awesome. As a little hint, its okay to drive down the path to the tasting room if there is still parking. If not the only other parking is by the road.

“Love this place!”
Reviewed 9 October 2013 via mobile

Unbeatable scenery (architecture, space) and the most tall trees you will see from anywhere in Albuquerque, CR (as we call it) is one of our favorite weekend rendezvous with friends. We're just glad we live so close. Kristen and Helen are knowledgeable and friendly, and not shy to cut a joke or two into their great service. All the staff is great and wines are some of the region's best.
