I stayed here the night before a flight. We got in late. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was clean. The building is fairly new so all the furnishings, etc. are in good shape. Its about what you’d expect with a Holiday Inn. No complimentary breakfast though and the buffet was $11.

Just an OK stay here for two nights. Room was fine. Clean with facilities such as microwave, fridge, separate sofa and work desk. WI-FI worked OK. Quality bedding with some decent pillows - 2 of each soft and firm.

But, what spoilt this hotel for us, was the variation in friendliness of their front desk staff. The ONE guy at the grill on the Sunday was smiling and friendly, but obviously flat out. He had to serve the grill, tend the bar and deliver room service all by himself. One friendly girl on the front desk and as for the rest . . . well . . to be honest, they really didn't want to be there and found guests a rude interruption to their routine.

There has to be better choices for the money in the Albuquerque area. We couldn't recommend a stay there unless management had a serious re-think and either sacked the slack ones or did some staff guest PR training. Oh, and also give the guy at the grill a pay rise for his hard work.

Maybe they should put him in charge of guest relations!

We booked a room for our family several weeks ahead and got very good rates. The room was comfortable and clean and quiet. Maid service was good. Now for the mixed results. Part of our reason for choosing this hotel was the idea that breakfast was included with the room. We were told the first morning that they had recently changed their policy and now guests have to pay for breakfast. We declined and went for a walk which led to a very fortunate discovery. Just across the street there is a little restaurant attached to a chile factory called The Hatch Chile. They served an excellent breakfast burrito with carne adovada for a very reasonable price. We returned again and again during our five day stay.
We read an earlier review warning against parking in the rear of the hotel due to car theft. Evidently, everyone else read it too, because no one parked there. The clerk said there was no security on guard, but someone was always at the desk. I'm sure he wondered why I laughed at his comment. Since there were virtually no parking spaces in front I resorted to curb parking on the street. This was also a fortunate accident because it led to excellent front door access and no problems with the car. My only complaints about the room were the pillows and the bathroom door. There are labels on the pillows saying soft and firm. Actually, they are all firm which took some getting used to. The bathroom door stuck so badly that you had to pull with great force to get out so we adjusted by just partially closing it during our stay.

Room Tip: book well ahead for best rates; don't park out back; visit Hatch Chile!

We stayed here for 5 days while apartment hunting for our upcoming relocation to ABQ.
Pros: Staff was mostly friendly. The lone night staff person left the front desk to come get us when we were stranded at the rental car center past midnight. Our room was mostly quiet, which surprised me considering we were placed right next to the elevator + ice machine (luckily, the ice machine was broken). Free printer + copier (attached to printer) in business center.
Cons: Our bathroom: we had to remember to hold down the handle in order to flush completely, and every flush produced a high-pitched whine from the toilet. Our tub didn't drain properly so after two showers, we were ankle deep in water. I told the front desk and they sent someone to pour Drano down the pipe, but it didn't help. By our last night, we had a lake in the tub 8-10 inches high. We could have switched rooms, but we were too lazy to pack up.
Business center: only two work stations, so do all your work during the afternoon because at night the kids dominate it, playing games + checking facebook.

This hotel was okay for one night except it's just that when we checked in to our room our first one smelled like cigarets. And the room itself wasn't that clean looking either. The room looked about 1990's ish and the bathroom about 1980's. We asked the nice front desk person about our room so she checked us into another one. And this time it had a sort of broken down refrigerator but it worked through our stay. The place was pretty crowded and even the people smelled like cigars. The business center has two computers but one was infected with a virus so one was technically in there. My stay here was not all that good so I hope that Intercontinential Hotels Group can focus on remodeling some of their Holiday Inns because I've stayed at alot of Holiday Inn Expresses and they were really clean and modern. So my stay here was okay and if you don't mind staying at something like this for one night it's okay but overall try another hotel and keep your money on something better than this.

We got stranded in Albuquerque overnight due to a missed flight connection. Called all of the hotels on the board in the airport and couldn't get a room at any of the hotels because they were full. FInally, I called the Holiday Inn and they connected me to the main reservation center. The gave me a good rate through AAA. The shuttle was there to pick us up in 10 minutes. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk clerk was super friendly and gave us our room immediately. We had a teenager and baby with us and the restaurant had just closed so the shuttle/desk lady offered to take us to a nearby restaurant if we wished. There was really nothing in walking distance so we took her up on her offer and she took us to IHOP which was perfect for what we needed. She also offered to take us to Smith's to get items for the baby since all of our luggage was at our final destination. We didn't need anything but it was nice of her to offer. I would definitely stay here again. Hotel was clean and beds were very comfortable. Room had microwave, fridge and free wifi. No complaints at all!

Room Tip: Call and ask for best rate!

Not a nice place to stay unless it gets a full remodel.

First impressions: Room was dark and very worn. Air conditioning was loud and not very strong. Old TVs. Then it got worse. The swimming pool was dirty; the jacuzzi even dirtier. Then when attempting to shower or bathe children back in the room the only option was scalding hot water. The front desk staff came to verify it, and then had no solution.

We had already unpacked suitcases, it was late and kids needed to go to bed for an early morning flight, and our only option was to pack up and move upstairs or use the public showers between the pool and workout room. Those showers were not nice either, but at least the water temperature could be controlled.

Afterwards emailed the manager and the company's customer service and no replies.

The front desk staff were very friendly at check-in, and remained so throughout our stay. They did not seem particularly knowledgeable of places to eat New Mexican food in town though.

Check out one of the neighboring hotels.
