If you are looking for a random hotel to sleep at or a place to golf or gamble, this place is fine. The room was clean, shower was nice, bed was adequate, check in staff pleasant. But as a resort, it’s pretty bad. I was here for a few nights for a conference.

—There is nowhere to walk. No walking paths on the hotel site. I was told by staff that the golf course is off limits to walkers. Staff suggested I walk out on the main road which has no sidewalk. After dodging cars, bikes, and roadside trash for about a quarter mile I gave up.

—The fitness center is very poor. There are some decent cardio machines but not much else. No weights.

—People smoke in the casino so the whole lobby area smells of smoke. Its not super strong but you can smell it.

— You’re not going to get souvenirs for your kids at the gift shop. They sell cigars, cigarettes, energy drinks, gold rings, and some random toiletries.

—The pool is pretty nice and quite large. I would prefer a lifeguard with a pool that size. Poolside cabanas rent for $150/day, $250 on weekends. This is for an awning, two chairs, and bottled water.

—The food is bad and very meaty. If you are a vegetarian, bring lots of granola bars. They do have a banana nut risotto (???) on one of the menus for $36.

My advice for this establishment is to put in a walking trail around the perimeter and a decent fitness center on an upper floor with a view.

I was invited by the resort after joining with Harrahs out of Vegas. They gave me a package deal for rooms and golf specials to introduce themselves to the Vegas croud. Wow, what a suprise. The property was very well kept kept and the staff was professional. I go to Vegas a few times per year and would copare this place to any I have stayed there. The nicest golf course I havpe played in N.M.
I would recommend this place no matter what and if you watch for a live concert they have a great amphitheater and great bands. The restaurant on top is really awesome. Enjoy you won't be sorry !!!

Room Tip: Get the mountain view room. Top 8th floor if possible.

Although one might not choose to stay here cause of the fairly high prices, the Sandia Resort Casino is certainly worth a visit. Rooms are spacious and clean and have all the conveniences one would expect from a resort at this price. Lovely native american architecture, both on the outside and inside, great bar on the ground floor and even greater restaurant on the 9th. The restaurant has a breathtaking view of the Sandia mountains and I would recommend that you visit it just before sunset. Unlike accommodation, prices here are much better and the food although not too special, is quite tasty. Finally let's not forget we're talking about a casino here, so there are plenty of places one can try his luck on.

I've been disappointed by the buffet before but decided to give it another chance & this was by far the worst experience yet! The mac & cheese was tasteless, the ham was way too salty, mashed potatos were runny, salisbury steak tasted like bbq sauce & the pork chops didn't look appetizing what-so-ever.The ice cream & cookies weren't up to par. Even the iced tea was gross. I wouldn't have paid $3.50 for this dinner yet they charge $13.50/person. The casino, pool, golf course, view etc. are elegant in a sense but to serve the food they do, the entire buffet kitchen staff ought to be ashamed for serving such filth.

After staying in a very substandard "Hotel Blue" the night before, we were completely satisfied by the clean public areas, nice ammenities, spotless room, amazing bathroom, and of course the pool. I enjoyed drinks outside while my wife enjoyed the poolside. We have stayed at sandia before, and will definately stay again. The underground parking was a plus as we just had the car washed and rain rolled in.

Room Tip: Pick a pool view, and get the golf course and mountains as an added bonus!

We always stay here for our quarterly trips to New Mexico for our red chilie fix. The rooms are big and spaces. The bathroom even bigger. We revived great customer service from Brandon at the front desk....a view of the fire works from our roo, was excellent.

My only compliant...is the casino is smoky. My husband loves their two dollar hamburgers at the grill.

Thanks for a wonderful time

My company and I have stayed at many hotels before, but for many reasons, Sandia Resort was by far are most pleasant stay yet. We stayed just a couple of days and enjoyed everything from the pool, casino entertainment, incredible rooms, and lovely cuisine. Albuquerque,NM is a very beautiful city especially when you can see it from the top of the resort. Sandia has a beautiful restaurant on the 9th floor and the dinner we had was absolutely amazing! The golf course was very well maintained and we had a blast playing some holes. I hope we have the chance to stay there again! Thumbs up Sandia
