We are on vacation, and visiting random coffee shops along the way ( my husband own such a shop). Another barista recommended we add this one to the list. And he was sooo correct. Very small shop, just in between Gold Street Caffe and Cafe Mische. A few outside seats, a few inside ones, but i bet they do great carry out. They described the difference between their sweet and unsweetened chais to me, and I think they sell a lot of dirty hippies, then we decided on a vanilla latte ("Did you want that with heavy, light or medium coffee? Taste it and make sure it is right or we can change it"). It was the best vanilla latte I've had so far. Temp was perfect, foam artwork was lovely, and in great huge cups which are favored around here. The owners were very helpful, and generous chatting with us. They were equally friendly to every person who came through the door, including delivery people. They serve baked goods from the New Mexico Pie Co.; we bought a pop tart but haven't eaten it yet as we had just finished lunch elsewhere. Definitely non-pretentious, local folks for customers.
This is a GREAT Little shop, and should not be allowed to get lost between Gold Street, The Brew, and Zendo, all within a half block of each other. Patronize these people!
