“Great biscochitos. ”
Reviewed 2 December 2013 via mobile

Stopped in for some tea and biscochitos. Left with four dozen. This place is crowded, funky and obviously beloved by the locals. It's hard to see how it's the second best restaurant in Albuquerque so I suspect price plays a role. Worth a stop.

“Best Christmas Biscochito”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

Not only is the pizza great; this this the best place in town to get biscochitos. And if you don't know what that is, they will give you a free sample with your pizza.

“Panaderia and Much More”
Reviewed 20 November 2013

Golden Crown is a small neighborhood bakery tucked into Old Town Albuquerque. It's off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to find.

They specialize in traditional Mexican baked goods (pan dulces, empanadas, etc.), but also feature pizzas with toppings sitting atop a crust laced with green chili.....a pleasant surprise to your taste buds. As well, they have a killer espresso chocolate shake that will simultaneously feed your sweet tooth and keep you wide awake for a good while afterwards. There's not a lot of parking or seating, so you have to approach lunch with the appropriate laid-back attitude. This is the Land of Manana after all, so get with the program!

The staff are great and the customers full of chatter. It's a lovely place to snag a bite and step back into an old-school bakery/restaurant. Go here!

“Green Chile Pizza Crust.....simply the best!”
Reviewed 13 November 2013 via mobile

You cannot go to Albuquerque without stopping by Golden Crown! Mango Raspberry Smoothie was outstanding. Green Chile crust Combination pizza rated as one of the best pizzas I have ever had! Green Chile Bread was great as advertised. I need to get back there soon to try the blue corn crust pizza. The staff was unbelievably friendly and made the visit there a memorable experience!

“New Mexico's Finest!”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

Such a cute, warm inviting little cafe! The food was awesome and service great! I stopped on the way through town due to the Yelp ratings and was not disappointed. The pizza crust crispy and flavorful and toppings fresh, served with a biscochito and delicious! Servers friendly and personable and very attentive. The pan (breads, pastries and cookies) delish! We took some for our trip and enjoyed them all the way to California. Well worth the stop! Thanks Golden Crown for a great lunch. :)
