My stay exceeded my hopes for a Memorial weekend getaway. Situated in the Sandia hills, it was so peaceful and quiet. The room was well furnished and very comfortable. The large sliding glass doors opened to the patio giving it an airy feeling. Although it was off the grid, it had every modern convenience. The bathroom was equipped with a washer and dryer. The water pressure was great, and a tall person would appreciate the high set shower head. The bedroom was comfortable with amazingly soft pillows and a large closet. It is good to note that cell phones have poor reception in the hills, but the room has a telephone and internet service. Also, there is some driving on a winding dirt road, sometimes steep. However, I think I made it to the main road within ten minutes. The wonderful Sandia Peak Tramway is close by. Albertson's grocery store is also not too far. The owner is very helpful in providing any additional assistance. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. In such a peaceful place, a hotel just would not do. I hope to go back soon.
