“Good spot for something special”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

We ate dinner here on our final night in Albuquerque. We had lots of great New Mexico cuisine and wanted to try something a little more upscale. Zinc delivered! They had a large selection of wines and other alcoholic drinks including some wine flights. They also had taster menus and lighter portion dinners which pleased me and my partner. The taster menus allow diners to select three dishes from multiple choices. This gives each diner a chance to select just what she or he would like.
As mentioned several of the dinners offer lighter portions. I had the beef ravioli and they were outstanding. Even at the lighter portion there were five raviolis and mashed turnips and a deep-flavored wine sauce. I had a special vegetable salad before the ravioli; it was a la carte.
Our waiter, Chelsea, was attentive and checked-in a few times to make sure all was well.
The restaurant was attractive and modern; we sat near the food prep area. It was a busy place and the noise level was certainly elevated. I am not sure I would call it a romantic place but the food was of high enough quality to elevate the experience above the ordinary.

“Other than the service....”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

The dining area is very inviting and attractive. The menu has many interesting choices. The first course egg rolls were good and the entrees were excellent. The weak link was our primary server. After my wife ordered a margarita and I ordered a glass of wine, we waited approximately 15 minutes before the drinks showed up. Our appetizer was delivered to our table in about half that time. He was a very friendly young man, but spent more time hanging around the service bar than he did serving his diners.
Too bad, as with excellent service our experience would have been a great pleasure. Will we return? Not sure.

The cellar bar at night is always fun with a great atmosphere and good drinks. Brunch on the weekends is a must. Coffee is so good.

“Nice dinner place with friends”
Reviewed 12 June 2014 via mobile

Met a few of my friends here for dinner and had their salmon. Ben was the server and did a great job keeping up with the table. The presentation was good for the meal and I liked the salmon, although I prefer salmon cook on a cedar plank better. The food was good, the service was good but not sure I'd go back. Not memorable, just average.

“As good or better than anything in Santa Fe!”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Since we live in Santa Fe, we have a bias toward our excellent local restaurants, but for our 48th Anniversary dinner we chose Zinc in Albuquerque, having heard good things about it, and we were not disappointed. The food was imaginative and expertly prepared, the service was friendly and attentive, the decor is hip. We urge you to give this Nob Hill mainstay a try!
