“Great Value Excellent Free Breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2007

Front Desk staff was GREAT - cudos to Richard and Gabe. Richard was helpful in helping us get on the wireless system. The property was clean and comfortable. There was construction going on at the pool and by the restaurant area. It is very convenient getting off and on the I-40 at the east end of Albuquerque. There was live music in the restaurant that really made dinner enjoyable. I think this is the best value we had on our trip home. The hotel is not a Marriot or Hilton but I would rate it "excellent" for the value and for the money and am therefore rating it an excellent experience. We will be going thru again in May and hope all their construction is completed on the pool, hot tub, and resatuarant ( they indicated it would be completed by then). The room was very nice and featured a Miicrowave and refrigerator. They seem to be doing alot at this property. I would highly recommend this hotel for anybody looking for a bargain!

We wanted a motel that was easily accessed from I-40 East. Located beside other older motels and fast food outlets in the older part of town, this motel advertises its senior and AAA discounts to attract guests. The AAA book indicated that weekly rates were available and it appeared, from the pick-up trucks on the site, that locals might be staying here for longer than a night. I would not use this motel again, but look for one closer to the hiway junction or west side of town where rates are definitely higher. While the beds were comfortable and the linens clean, the room just lacked ambience with its tired decor and cheap polyester bedspreads. The room had a coffee machine, iron, toiletries, but no fridge and microwave if that is important to you. The large pool area was closed in mid-March. Use the onsite restaurant for supper as it's convenient. Breakfast was self-serve with make-your-own waffles, cereal (hot & cold), fruit, breads, Eng. muffins, donuts, eggs, yogurt, and juice/coffee/milk. The stay was inexpensive; some might say a good value for a one night stay.

This hotel gave me a great group rate as I need four rooms. The front desk service was great and the breakfast exceptional. Came back a week later to pick up some glasses that were left behind and ended up staying for the night as I-40 was closed due to a snowstorm. They did an excellent job under difficult circumstances and were still smiling after 2 days of dealing with standed motorists.

This is a basic motel with outdoor corridors and such. However, most all of their rates are under $50 making this a great stop for the weary traveler. I got upgraded to a king size room with a recliner which was very nice after a long drive. The pool was closed for winter (which i thought weird the first week of november when the weather was over 75 degrees in the daytime). Breakfast was plentiful and good, and the front-desk staff are very accomodating and willing to help with any of your needs. There is no fitness center (i think the site says there is), but all in all its a good place.

I was a little skeptical in the beginning since this is an older hotel with outside entrances (as a woman traveling alone, this always makes me nervous), but I was pretty happy with this place for the price. The doors opened using a card reader and there was a deadbolt, but only the older style chain lock as the second lock. The room was a little old, showing a little wear and tear on the furniture and carpets, but it was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Nice towels. Coffee maker, blowdryer, decent TV. The front desk clerk was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast was ready at the stated hour and as advertised: waffles, fresh fruit, bagels, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, etc. My only complaint with breakfast was that the breakfast lounge could have used some serious vaccuuming. Finally, the location is pretty quiet for being in town. The hotel is just far enough away from the interstate and the rooms are set back from the road. All in all, I gave this place an above average rating because it was nicer than many places I've stayed for a similar price and perhaps one of the few times I've actually seen breakfast ready at the designated hour.

We stayed here on our path from Texas to California and found this location to be ideally situated right off of the freeway. We were a little put out to hear that the onsite restaurant was without management/service and so we walked up the large windy street to the nearby Waffle House for dinner. Just behind the Waffle House was also a McDonalds. Breakfast was served by the hotel in the restaurant facilities and was the typical pastry/donut, coffee/juice, and little waffle maker that most places stock. A nice point was that there was a movie theatre across the street so if you want something to amuse yourself with after a long drive that's not physically demanding it's right there.
