“Great Service!”
Reviewed 9 May 2012

I stay at the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque many times a year for business and am never disappointed. The front desk is always very friendly and makes checking in and out a breeze. Even though I stay at this hotel often, the different menus available allow me to eat at the Hyatt many times and never get bored with the food. There are separate menus for the main restaurant (Forque), the lounge restaurant (HQue), and a separate menu for in-room dining. I am also a big fan of the free Starbucks that I receive with my stay. I have stayed at a few other hotels in downtown Albuquerque and nothing else seems to compare to my experience at the Hyatt Regency in terms of hospitality and cuisine.

The rooms and guest services are great and what you would expect to see at a Hyatt. What really set it off for me was the food at the Forque Restaurant. Everything on the menu was amazing. Also the staff were quick to suggest other places of interest to see through out Albuquerque this included the great Sandia Mts. This is a great place to stay. The only draw back might be the $13 a night parking as you are stuck right in the middle of down town 2 blocks from Central Street.

Room Tip: Grab a room on the North side for the best view.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had in all our years of traveling. There were 800 high school kids at the hotel for a conference and the desk did not think to mention this when we registered and checked in that day. The hotel was loud and crowded, we had kids knocking on our door and running, loud music, the hot tub was broken, there was vomit and bottles left in the stairwell for the entire of our stay (the elevators were too crowded to use), the room floor was dirty, the room service was overpriced for what you get, there was vomit left next to our car (you wonder if anyone cleans the building and if they have any security at all), and manager's only offer was to not charge us for the nights we didn't stay?? Us and a few other people ended up checking out early. The hotel also nickel and dimes you....a fee here a fee there, there's an additional 10$ a day fee to use the internet, $5 run of the mill bottle water, and it may say they are pet friendly on the website, but what they don't mention is there is an additional $75 NON refundable fee for pets. If you are looking for a nice, quality hotel this is not it.

I am very impressed with the customer service of this hotel. Throughout my stay anytime I walked around the property within the hotel, it consisted of a warm greeting by all staff members which made it a very welcoming environment. The front desk staff is first class, and the ammenities of the hotel are very appealing for future stays. Thanks Hyatt Albuquerque on Tijeras!!

Room Tip: The suites are very nice!

Hyatt Regency Albuquerque has a great location and easily accessible from the airport. The area has many restaurants and bars that are convenient to walk. The hotels restaurant and bar were enjoyable as well and the workout space was actually more of a gym, which is nice.

Hyatt Regency Albuquerque is about 15-20mins from ABQ and located in downtown (easily walkable to bars, restaurants, and various financial/legal/meeting buildings).

Check-in: Processed quickly by a friendly and knowledgeable agent who explaind the varios aspects of the hotel.

Accomdation: Issued a "Deluxe Mountain View Room" that offered a view of you guessed it... Mountains. Room was clean and large with comfortable bed, good workspace and spacious bath.

Dining: This is the only aspect that detracted from the stay. The cuisine was good: presented well, appropiate temperature, portion size... The service on the other hand needs just a bit of refinement. Staff were all pleasant but seemed unsure or slightly hesitant resulting in lurching dining experience.

Property: Hotel greets you with an open atrium that offers a real Starbuck's , Atrium bar, and a sundries shoppe.
There is no regency club.
Exterior pool/Gym are elevated midway up the building. Pool is small but plenty of seating/lounges are available.

Full disclosure: I am a top tier member of the Hyatt Rewards Programme.

Room Tip: Moutain view rooms are nice. This hotel only provides coffee/coffee machines on request to your ro...

Thank you for being one of our top-tier members in the Hyatt Gold Passport program. Our Front Desk associates were glad to have accommodated you in the Deluxe Mountain View room. This is just one of the many perks for being a loyal program member.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your valuable feedback and are glad to know that your overall stay was comfortable. Coffee is available at Starbucks, Forque Kitchen & Bar and complimentary in-room coffee makers are always available upon request.

We are, however, disappointed to read that your dining experience did not exceed your expectations. Our restaurant management thanks you for highlighting this issue and will take corrective training measures to ensure that our guests expectations are always exceeded.

We sincerely hope to see you again.

High standard Hyatt Regency experience. Flaws, at these prices wifi and parking should be included. In fact, if I had known free ai fi was not included, I would have stayed elsewhere. The restaurant was much better than expected, except that I found the portions too large
