“Thinking of hosting a conference?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

Conferences are often a time to explore new and interesting locations. I recently hosted a conference at Hotel Albuquerque, and I highly recommend it. It's very different from the "big box" conference experience (in a good way!). From start to finish it was once of the most pleasant experiences I've had in organizing an event. Staff was just as responsive pre event as they were once we were on site . They were incredibly accommodating and very welcoming. Everything went off without a hitch. The location is great for walking into Old Town. Food at hotel is very good; rooms are very comfortable. A win win all the way around!

This hotel apparently was a popular locations for conferences and weddings. That added a lot of life to the hotel. It presented the traveller the opportunity to interact with locals and fellow travellers.

It was the tallest building in that part of town. Other hotels and accomodations were more of inns and home stays.

The Restaurant and the Bar were well petronised, Breakfast was ala carte and not included in the tarrif. With Coffee making facility and the choice of starbucks in the room who needs breakfast?

You need a car in Albuquerque. Taxi to downtown will set you back USD 25-30 per trip.

Go for the organised tour of Old Town. There was even a food tour or food crawl.

I should have known that an empty dining room meant trouble. As I walked in Eddie was sitting reading a book. I decided to stay and noticed the waiters' guayabera shirts were stained and wrinkled and the other waiter hadn't shaved in a few days. I remember when people took pride in their jobs. There was no manager around.

Great hotel, room, great grounds, and pool. Comfy beds. We really enjoyed the hotel and the surrounding Old Town area. Garduno's Restaurant is good, as is the Sunday buffet. The service at the front desk was very good.

I had a retirement/birthday party here on June 7 2014 at Casa Esencia. It was awesome!!! the staff were great. Courtney Ortiz (Sales) was very professional and awesome to work with. Her input was very valuable. The servers and staff did a superb job setting up and taking care of the guest. The food got rave reviews from everyone in attendance. I highly recommend Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town if you are planning an event or just visiting and need a place to stay.

Very nice for large events or for an evening listening to music at Q Bar. Located on Rio Grande near I 40 it is easy to find and the accommodations are superb. There is a beautiful chapel for weddings which also has a service on Sunday mornings. Great gift shop, dining is also good. Near Old Town, museum, shopping, other dining. Recommend to anyone looking for a great experience of Albuquerque.

Room Tip: Rooms on the East may be quieter.

Thank you Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town for helping us put together our sons graduation party It was a huge success. A special Thanks to Courtney (catering sales), the Chef, and staff for all their hard work. The ball room setup, and the food that was severed was amazing.

We were also helped with room reservation to stay the night and the house staff were great.... We really did have a comfortable nights sleep. We recommend Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town to anyone visiting Albuquerque, NM or Locals who are planning a special event.
