Driving into the motel I noticed the beautiful blooming roses displayed in pots & the bubbling water feature. The lobby was attractive but it was obvious the gal behind the desk would rather not be working. Minimal conversation & local info. The room appeared clean with nice cheerful bedding and new imitation wood flooring. It was obvious the room had been remodeled. It was also obvious the furniture had not been updated. There were three lamps, all of which had shades falling off. The pop machine was not working. Told the office and was not offered any apology, just told to walk to gas station. I also asked for extra coffee packet. Simply told she didn't have key to housekeeping supplies. Again no apology! Breakfast was exceptional with REAL EGGS.
The motel is within walking distance to Old Town.
If you look beyond the falling off shades & and indifferent staff, it is a good one day stop.
The gal at desk in morning might have been an owner as wanted feedback on our stay & wondered what might be improved.More
