“Big redwoods, yet more commercial than the other hikes.”

More crowded, loud. Good for children, elderly, handicapped yet we enjoyed the tranquility and views of the Mill Creek South hike much more. That hike is also flat, easy.

All we can say is, totally mind blowing. Just when you think you have seen everything something else bigger and better comes around the corner. We drove all the way through it. So worth it.

This is a wonderful trail to get you up close and personal with the ginormous redwoods. The trail is packed dirt and very easy to navigate. It is a loop that includes the most amazing redwood we saw on this trip. Don't miss it.

Thus is a must see! You just become speechless at the eerie beauty of it all. Bring snacks; you'll wanna stay all day

We stopped here on our 7 day drive from Seattle to San Francisco. We visited a number of Redwood forest and they are all majestic, but they also have their own individual character. You can just drive through the forest, but it is so much more fulfilling to stop and stroll around the many paths. It's the silence that first strikes you, apart from the occasional bird call. It's the size and age of these giants that is so impressive - the fact that they have remained here growing slowly for up to 2,000 years is hard to imagine. It does make you feel rather small and insignificant. Totally noncommercial.
