We stayed here one night during our drive down the coast. The lobby was warm and welcoming and had fun decor with the model ships on the walls. The rooms were very spacious and much larger than the average hotel room. The morning breakfast was simple but fine and in a country kitchen type setting. The place had a small bed and breakfast feel. It was right next door to the aquarium undersea park and only 15 minutes from Redwood National Park.
Pros: Nice welcoming environment. Big rooms.
Cons: Get rid of the old style bed comforters. They gave the overall room a dated look. In the morning from our room we kept hearing someone yell "Audrey" like they were trying to find someone. This happened every 20 minutes and woke us up. When we left our room to check out I finally discovered what it was. It was the housekeeping staff yelling, "laundry" every time then sent sheets and towels down the laundry shoot. I would recommend the hotel management stop this practice as it was very disturbing to hear in the morning as it woke us up.More
