We rented unit 11B and loved it. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Our unit backed up to the brook. One bedroom is upstairs and one is down -- lovely in every way. Perfect location between Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park! Five stars!!!

We had a very horrible experience after making the trip up to Estes Park this past week...After enjoying Stonebrook and the same #4 room for the past 4 years with my husband and daughter, we were happy to be back and enjoy another mini vacation with them. I went in to the office to pay the remaining balance, since I made reservations online and paid a deposit a couple weeks prior to insure our room for a 3 night stay...we were shocked to be flat out turned away... Apparently I did not read their NEW website fully before reserving with them again. They had changed to an Adult Only Resort...However when you look for room availability, it includes the number of adults and CHILDREN in the reservation...when I added the child to the reservations, the room went over its limit of 2-3 people...I looked at the photos of the room and the same double bed and pull out couch was still there, so I knew that it must be a glitch in the system because it was only allowing 2 people to reserve now...I went ahead and made the reservation with 2 adults not thinking anything about it since we stayed in the same room 6 times within in the past 4 years...They flat out refused to let us stay...refunded the money and all they said was "sorry about the awkwardness"...I spent the previous week painstakingly preparing for the trip, then traveled with my family in hopes of having a nice few days, only to be rudely turned away...we had to call a ton of places to see if there were any openings available for 3 nights with 2 adults and a child...which were far and in between and way more expensive like hundreds more...But...we ended up staying at a nicer place just across the road at SunnySide Knoll Resort which was more private and quite...they were very accomidating and gave us the only place they had left, a deluxe 2 person spa suite...without charging extra for our 12 year old daughter...they had an outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs, clubroom and also allowed pets...so from now on we will loyally be staying with them and bringing the dogs...although we will be reserving a different unit that fits 4 people...it will be the same amount as the unit #4 at Stonebrook...So even though we had a horrible experience with STONEBROOK RESORT...it was a blessing because we found a better place to visit for years to come...SUNNYSIDE KNOLL RESORT... sunnysideknoll.com

Room Tip: ADULTS ONLY...stay at Sunnyside Knoll Resort instead if you have kids and pets... sunnysideknoll.com

We stayed in Cabin 15 from July 26-30. What a treat!! The cabin was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and had a wonderful view of the the river. We slept with our windows open and could hear the sounds of the river all night. It was very soothing. Each morning, we took our breakfast outside and sat at our private table and chairs right on the edge of the river. It was magnificent! The first morning we were there, a huge bull elk was grazing right across the street from our cabin. The location of the cabins at Stonebrook are perfect--only about a couple of miles from downtown and a couple of miles from the entrance to the park. Mike, the manager, was very accommodating and had good tips on restaurants and hikes. We will definitely return to Stonebrook again!

We had read several reviews of Stonebrook and found them to be true. We were definitely not disappointed! The cabin was very nice and especially clean. Mike provided very friendly service and we felt so welcome. We even loved his dog! The scenery was beautiful. We couldn't not have had a better experience than what we had a Stonebrook Resort. We stayed in cabin 11A. Two nice king size beds and nice kitchen and living room and deck. Plenty of chairs and a swing for enjoying the river behind the cabin. :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Stonebrook Resort. We were in 10A and 10B and loved being right on the river. Our windows were open when we arrived and just hearing the river had us relaxed in minutes. The balcony overlooking the river was our favorite spot. The kitchens had everything we needed and the king size beds were very comfortable. It was great being so close to Estes Park and to RMNP. We will definitely stay here again.

We made our reservation for Cottage 1 on-line for our first trip to Stonebrook Resort. In the past, we would spend more time in RMNP and downtown Estes Park, but my wife didn't want to leave Cottage 1. Just reading & relaxing on one of the two patios was enjoyment for us. Mike was very helpful, informative and kind when we did request information regarding other sights to see while we were in the area. The phone picture I sent to my coworkers from the river-side hammock was enough to cause some of them to make their own reservations for Stonebrook. We will definately return in the future! Thanks Mike!

My hubby and I stayed at Stonebrook in July and it was wonderful. Mike was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Initially when we called to book our trip, Mike helped us choose a cabin based on what we were looking for. We stayed in Cabin #5 and it had everything we needed. Small fridge, a couple of burners, dishwasher, utensils and dishes and microwave. The place was clean, including the hot tub. We had an excellent view of Fall River and the mountainside from our patio. Next to Cabin 5, is Cabin 7, but it is still very private. My only complaint is that the shower curtain liner was a little gross and needed to be changed (i've already sent a request about it) and that they needed to vacuum the rug. Aside from those 2 things, it was fantastic.I love the fact that it is adults only! It was peaceful. One morning we saw 3 deer from our patio. They were grazing on the mountainside. There are hummingbirds all around the property. There are many chairs and places to sit on the property as well. Our first night there, we hiked up the trail and it was great. It was a steep trail, but a really nice view. The bed is not the greatest, but we were both so tired from all of our daily activities, it didn't matter. I highly recommend staying at Stonebrook and I loved Cabin #5.

Room Tip: Cabins 5, 7 and 1 face the water.
