It is very quiet and out of the way. Breakfast was a little strange... we sat down and waited and waited and saw everyone else getting food, I went up and asked and they said, well you didn't tell us you wanted it.... What? It had a beautiful view! We were greeted by one of the owners because you have to have someone let you in. :-)

We stayed three nights for a wedding, and had a very enjoyable time. The lodge did the wedding, and we were just attendees, but it was a very nice affair. Outside wedding on the hill, and reception in their hall which has a large deck attached with great views. Also terrific views from the units. The breakfasts were excellent. Also a nice cocktail hour for the guests.

That having been said, there were a few issues. Our room was quite small, which is probably our fault, not theirs. In the morning, however, because the Inn is on a steep road going up into the mountains, there was a fair amount of noise -- enough to wake me up We also had trouble getting the air conditioning to work (others in our group had similar problems). Finally, and this is unusually picky for me, but the innkeeper chatted with everyone at cocktail hour, and was charming and knowledgeable, but I thought she should have turned out a bit better for the guests. Ripped jeans just don't seem right to me at such an upscale place.

Room Tip: We went for teh chepest rooms, and probably should have gone a step higher. It was quite small.

We apologize for the inconvenience with your air conditioner, and the noise form the state highway we are located on. There has been an unusual amount of traffic due to the flood repair effort on hwy 36. We hope to exceed your expectations during you next visit to Taharaa.

My GF and I booked this place on last minute coming from Denver. Pricing was good, stay was good. Breakfast was nice. Stayed there 2 nights as we explored the local atmosphere. Would recommend to friend.

Don't be discouraged by 3 night minimum listed - website allows shorter stays to fit holes in schedule. We booked a last minute room for one night and were very happy with our stay - wish we'd had time to stay longer. Rooms have big windows and French doors to nice size balcony with table and chairs. Beautiful views! Comfy beds and pretty much everything you need including robes. Loved the breakfast room with bright cheery morning sunlight. Breakfast was wonderful - potato skins topped with scrambled eggs, bacon, and a cheese sauce. They even made customized ones for my husband who doesn't eat eggs. Other breakfast items were available (cereal, yogurt, cinnamon rolls).

My husband * I stayed 1 night in June and loved everything about it! The property is GORGEOUS and well kept! When we arrived Terisa greeted us and explained everything to us that we'd want to know about our stay. She then took us up to our room which was beautiful. The view from the balcony was fantastic!

Happy hour was a nice surprise. An hour in the "study" to get to mingle was very nice too. Unfortunately my husband & I were the only ones that attended happy hour that night, so Terisa came in and talked with us. She was very helpful and recommended a dinner location to us. What is nice is that they have actual menus for a lot of the local restaurants, so we were able to glance over those before we decided where to go!

The lodge offers an indoor and outdoor hot tub. The outdoor hot tub was awesome! So great to sit an enjoy the breathtaking view.

The breakfast was amazing! Choices of coffees, tea, juices, fruit, cereal and then a hot made to order meal! The food was delicious. Josh was on site in the morning and he was super friendly and talked with us for a while.

Thank you Taharaa Mountain Lodge for making our stay in Estes Park a memorable one! We will definitely return :)

You need to stay here. No gripes at all. Everything just right for a couple's stay at $199/nt. Nice room with its own balcony overlooking the valley below. Kitchen-cooked breakfast included. Happy hour wine and beer included. Nice folks running it with proprietors on site.

Excellent facility for wedding or corporate powwow.

We came for a wedding and we were so glad we stayed at the reception site at Taharaa. Staff was remarkable to all there guests. Breakfasts were amazing. As I was assisting with the wedding the staff went above and beyond. Every detail was handled. Clearly they relationships with many wedding vendors. The reception went off without a hitch. When rain drowned the sparkler exit.. staff stepped in a provided bubbles and we were able to provide the happy couple with an amazing farewell. Thank you to the Taharra staff.
