“OUR FAVORITE PLACE!!!”
Reviewed 20 August 2013 via mobile

We stayed at Bear Creek #3 as well as #5 two different times. We LOVE the location. If you open your sliding door you can hear the calming beautiful river at night. So relaxing!!! I loved that it had washer and dryer. I just washed our towels and bathing suits whenever needed. The decor is awesome...love the rustic feel. #3 was our favorite!!!! Our daughter loved having a very comfy big bed to herself. Nicki's resort is awesome...you can walk right over and eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. =)
We had a blast at Timber Creek Chalet swimming pool. They have towels you can use to dry off. Water was warm and very clean. We had a blast swimming. One evening we had elk roaming around eating the grass and took lots of pictures. Bathrooms have awesome big tubs and tv's down stairs as well as upstairs. Grill on the patio was so easy to use and made some yummy steaks. The hottub was so relaxing!!!! Beds are super comfy. Kitchen is awesome and stocked with dishes cookware, coffee pot, toaster, bowls for salads. Everything you need. Condo #3 had games under the coffee table and our daughter loved it. We LOVE this place and give it 5 stars across the board for anyone wanting a very enjoyable and very relaxing vacation.
The lady at Timber Creek office was so very nice when we picked up our keys and felt very welcomed. We hated to leave!!! But...we will be back soon =)

We stayed for five nights in unit 6. We had a similar experience to a previous reviewer in that we didn't realize that we would check in up the road from the unit. That didn't turn out to be a big deal for us, but it would have been nice for that to be a little clearer.

We were quite disappointed initially that we were located right next to Nicky's Steakhouse. We had envisioned something a little more wooded and secluded feeling. We did enjoy the deck and view of the river, but the community hot tub sits just outside of units 5 and 6, and you can see through the trees to the resort pool on the other side of the river (not the pool for Bear Creek guests -- for that you would have to go back to Timber Creek, where you checked in). On the plus side, the location did allow us to walk into town and easily access the free shuttle when our group split up for different activities. Bonus -- kind've... there is a large buck moose that enjoys hanging around the area. We saw him a few times during our stay.

The condo was very clean, well-appointed and just the right size for our family of four (kids 7 & 9). While it could sleep six, I think that would have been a little tight if you spent much time indoors as we did (it rained 4 of the 5 evenings). There was one sofa and one recliner in the "family room" area.

We took advantage of the free movie checkout, although that was in even a different location than the condos and the check in... but it was free. :-) We also appreciated the washer/dryer and the well-supplied kitchen and grill.

This wasn't an issue for us, but anyone who has trouble with stairs should look elsewhere as there are stairs to get up to the bedrooms and down to the kitchen/living areas.

A tip: Safeway is the major grocery store in Estes. Their store card program seems to be a way to upcharge tourists, as the price difference is significant compared to similar programs in the midwest. I would advise to go to the Safeway website, print out the form, and take it with you if you plan to pick up many groceries in town.

On the whole, it was a nice place to spend the better part of a week. We would consider it when we come this way again, unless we decide to get a little more secluded -- further from town.

Room Tip: Units 1 and 6 are on the ends and have a more spacious feel from the decks. 6 is adjacent to a busy...

Rented unit 4 for three nights for five persons. The units are a bit difficult to find, and instructions that we needed to check in at a different location were unclear. Once we got past those initial details, however, we were very satisfied with the accommodations. The condo was well maintained and very clean, and location convenient to both Estes Park town and Rocky Mountain National Park entrance. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed with our three kids and it was great. The condo is spacious and the location was ideal. We loved the hot tub by the river. We were able to walk into town safely as there is a new sidewalk all the way in. I priced a lot of condos in Estes Park and I found the price to be very competitive. The only thing that could have been improved on was additional seating in the living room as there was only a couch and there were five of us. Otherwise it was perfect. We will be returning!

I will stay here the next time we go to Estes Park! It was in a Great Location. Close enough to town if you needed something but away from all the heavy traffic. The place was very spacious and worked well for our family. Loved sleeping with the door open listening to the sound of the river right outstide. The kitchen in our unit wasn't what I would consider a fully equipped kitchen we had to go to the store for some items. We also didn't have any extra towels in our unit, but wasn't a problem since there is a washer and dryer, which was GREAT! Nothing better than coming home from vacation with little laundry to do. We had a small problem with our keyless entry and the staff was quick to come to our aid.

I stayed here with my family and loved it. Our cell service was great. It was small and clean. You would have to be a very picky person not to like it here!!!

Our stay at Bear Creek Condo's was absolutley awesome! We needed a getaway from our busy daily lives and we found it there! The setting is incrediable with wonderful views and the peace of the river running behind the condo. The condo had a fully equiped kitchen and was tastefully decorated. One of my favorite things was the jetted tub which helped end a wonderfully relaxing day. We would stay there over and over it's worth the trip!!
