Paradise on the River
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 1 June 2014 via mobile

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The service is excellent. After a scheduling mishap that was out of our control, Carol graciously moved our reservation. We stayed in the Wind River. We loved that it was slightly apart from the other cabins and rvs. It was also surrounded with a nice green lawn and was just a few feet from the rolling river. The cabin was nicely decorated with a mountain theme and was immaculately clean. The short distance to Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park is a huge plus. We can't wait to go back to Paradise for another restful vacation.

We had a great stay over Memorial Day weekend in the Brookside cabin. It looked like it had just been refurbished and it had all the dishes, utensils, etc. we needed. It was small and cozy but we really enjoyed it. The deck which was right above the river and we enjoyed the fire pit at night and BBQing. Even though the cabin was next to an RV and a cabin/office on the other side it felt very private. The sound of the river at night was nice as well.

The location near Rocky Mountain National Park was ideal and it wasn't too far to the shops, etc.

One note: We did run out of hot water when we washed dishes, then showered. But that was very minor compared to everything that is right with the cabin.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Brookside so can't comment on the others. The Brookside cabin was very nice an...

We stayed in the River Bend Cabin. Everything was spotless and in perfect condition. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had some coffee and half and half. Even though there are cabins on both sides, an outdoor curtain provided privacy. It was too cold in early May to sit on the deck, but there are two comfy recliners in the living room where you can relax and enjoy the gorgeous view. The room is really small but suited our needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable. The only negative thing I can say is that the pillows weren't great. Otherwise, perfection! I would definitely come back.

Room Tip: The River Bend cabin has great views!

We stayed at Paradise on the river for two nights in the Creekside Cabin. The Cabin is a perfect size for two people and comes with everything you could need. But the real star of the cabin is the balcony over the river. All staff/owners were extremely friendly and helpful providing suggestions on places to eat, hike, and even managing to find a baby gate to help us keep our dog on the balcony. We can't wait to go back to Paradise on the River the next time we are up in Estes.

My husband and I visited along with two friends. The campground is amazing! Very quiet...so much so you can hear the Big Thompson running at night. The owners/workers are very friendly and helpful. The camp is very close to the majestic Rocky Mountain National Park with great hiking! Hang a hummingbird feeder and you won't be disappointed! Whether you are using your own RV (32 ft max), staying in a cabin or in one of the available trailers for rent you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Any site would be great but our favorite is Site #2.

My family and I spent a long weekend up here in the River's Bend cabin, and the view from this particular cabin was simply stunning. Every morning we had visitors ranging from deer to elk, and every night we were serenaded to sleep by the river. The cabin was clean and very cozy for mid-October. If you love coffee, wine, blankies, and snuggling up with your loved ones, this place is a great destination!

P.S. My only negative was how loud the heater was at night--I think I woke up whenever it came on, but other than that, it was simply lovely!

What a beautiful place to spend our anniversary! We chose the Rivers End cabin and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The cabin is small, but really cute, comfortable and super clean -- I mean clean! The views all around were gorgeous, and we were practically sitting directly on the river. We enjoyed the private hot tub, which was also very clean. Service beyond helpful and friendly. Perfect trip to Estes Park.
