Ours was an evening wild animal tour of RMNP. Began at 4:45 and returned after 9. Jared is passionate about his craft and extremely knowledgeable. He provided great information about the history, geology, ecosystem, biology of the park. His understanding of the animals and their behavior is formidable. We were fortunate to experience the beginning of the Elk rut high up in the park. Also saw Moose, Marmots, Picas, various bird species, ground squirrels. It was a cornucopia of wildlife wonder with excellent information. Jared provided high quality binoculars and spotting scope. A highlight was a very large Bull Moose spotted in a valley. You cannot find a better resource.

We spent fours hours touring the Moraine Park area with Jared giving us expert advice on photography. He is exceedingly patient with instruction on photography, and a real expert on the wildlife, flowers, geology and history of the area. We got rave reviews on the photos we sent to friends.

Our tour of Rocky Mountain National Park with Jared Gricoskie of Yellow Wood Guiding was the pinnacle (no pun intended) of our visit to Estes Park. Jared took us out early to catch a sunrise and then proceeded to show us all the wildlife we could have wished for, including a mama bear and cub (a happening even for him) and Aoudad sheep who decided to wait to come down to the lower park until we visited, which was a month late! Although Jared probably wouldn't take credit for the latter two sightings, he did know where to sight in the spotting scope for animal life too high up for us to go visit and his knowledge of history and ecology made the tour a wonderful, fun learning experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone visiting that part of Colorado.

We spent the first day of our RMNP vacation with Jared on a morning Photo Safari and could not have been happier. Jared gave us the perfect start to our week, we learned about the geology, plant and animal life as well as the history of RMNP. This knowledge made our remaining time much richer and added to our respect and understanding area. Regarding photography, Jared, was excellent in getting us to the right places at the right time and providing professional assistance to “get the shot”. We have several images that are exceptional and being turned into large prints for our walls. Last, knowing that we were there for the week, Jarod made sure we were prepared by giving us information on other great areas for photos. Jared and Yellow Wood Guiding are highly recommended!

Even if you have only one day in rocky Mountain National uPar could do no better than spend it with Jared and the Yellow Wood Guiding -Private tour. His knowledge of the area, animals and history is better than anyone could expect. To be able to go out into the park, and know where, and when the animals are supposed to be in certain areas, as well as the history of the park itself is without comparison. With animals you never know if they are going to follow their normal oath; however, Jared reviews past habits and recent sightings, and increases the probability yof success. No matter if you are interested in the vistas, tundra, animals, birds, etc this is time well spent.
