Despite the rain and subsequent floods, our short stay at Boulder Brook was wonderful. The sound of the rushing river outside our room was so awesome, as was the in-room spa tub. The king size bed was like sleeping on a cloud... so comfortable! Dee-Dee was so nice and accommodating. We would highly recommend staying at Boulder Brook and plan to return soon.

This was our 3rd stay at Boulder Brook and will come back again. The setting, right on the river, was perfect for relaxing and having family lodging separate from the couples-only spa suites is much appreciated. Fall River entrance to the Park is minutes away with great evening elk viewing.

Room Tip: SPA suites are worth the extra money to be separate from the families

We found this property to be an excellent place with one exception. We notified the owner/front desk worker of a Black Bear in the trash container (bear safe garbage station left open). She asked as I had called with the bear some 25 feet away from our room, is it bothering anyone? It usually goes away, imagine if your children would be playing outside or your wife just relaxing under the cabana of which she was. We. She finally came out she said the bear never goes further than the garbage. Late that night at 10:30 pm. I once again called the front desk because the bear 'who' does go further than the garbage was destroying the 'non-bear safe' garbage can attached to the pole of the cabana... When asked if they had notified DNR, she said they write my paycheck it will be the owners choice. Great place to stay but taking a bear lightly isn't a good choice, I hope the bear can be relocated versus destroyed because of its garbage habits going unnoticed..

Wildlife is a part of life in Estes Park. People travel from around the world to experience our mountains, wildlife and town. The Town was built in the middle of a vast natural wilderness, and we experience wildlife on the property daily. Usually, it is elk, deer, bighorn sheep, squirrels, chipmunks, marmots, and fish, but occasionally bears, mountain lions and bobcats come by for a visit as well.

We understand that for some seeing a bear can be an intimidating experience. For others, it is the highlight of their vacation. We received both comments from guests who were at the hotel on the day this bear was seen.

We are aware of the risks of bears becoming too accustomed to feeding from trash cans rather than foraging in the wild. The Town provides training to businesses and residents on how to discourage bears from wandering into town. It is not protocol to call the Department of Wildlife simply because a bear is seen in town. The bear on this occasion was simply looking for food, and was not behaving in an aggressive or menacing manner. As such, we took the appropriate action by simply scaring him away.

At Boulder Brook, we do our best to keep the property clean and minimize anything that would attract the bears unnecessarily, while still providing for the needs of our guests. The safety of our guests is our top priority. That said, the wonderful thing about life here is the wildlife. We simply won't sentence an animal to death simply because a person was scared by it.

Nice condo convenient to the nat'll park and Estes park. Would have like a guest laundry to clean dirty wet hiking clothes. Also 2 metal chairs on deck with cushions but cushions were very wet from rain and metall cold and uncomfortable to sit in without the cushions - wish cushions had been kept indoors dry so we could sit outside on the balcony and enjoyed the pretty view.

We found ourselves in a state of last minute "homelessness" in the middle of a two week trip, thanks to a scheduling snafu at another river-oriented B&B. So I jumped on Expedia and frantically searched for another place adjacent to one of the rivers running through Estes Park. I was thrilled to snag one of the Boulder Brook's last suites, trusting the image with the running water to be representative of the actual experience. We were not disappointed. Unit 15 has a back deck that's about 15 feet from Fall River, and I just loved knitting in a chair adjacent to the bubbling running water. My husband did email (great wifi) on the back deck a few feet from me. The road is on the other side of the river but tree growth and light traffic made it a non-issue. The condo itself was sufficient, had just what we needed, and the staff (both check-in and check out) were extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. The normal public transportation and road access into Estes Park were disrupted when we were there due to the bike race that went through town, but we were given good guidance for the easy 35 minute walk into town. We paid dearly (about $280?) for this night but it was so great, we consider it a great value.

Room Tip: We thought lower level was preferable given our desire to be "on the water".

This place is awesome ! From the moment you check in to when you you leave. The people go way above & beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. The grounds are beautiful . Listening to river in the evening with a glass of wine, the perfect finish to a visit in Estes park.

Room Tip: Room 20. River view suite. Was awesome. Look down from balcony at the river.
