The room was quite basic but spacious and the bath room was very small, but they were both very clean. All rooms have mountain view, although it might be a little obstructed. Unfortunately, the hotel choose to put blinds in front of the windows instead of curtains. So everyone can look into your room (if you are on the first floor, like we were) and if you want to prevent that, you have no view. I though that was a pity. The location of the hotel is quite good and the staff is really awesome. Very friendly and helpful. I think the rate was a little on the steep side, but it might have to do with the Memorial Weekend. My biggest complaint would be it is quite noisy, the walls are quite thin and our neighbors took a shower at 5.30 am and it looked like they were taking the shower in our room. Other than that, not a bad choice if you stay in Estes Park.

Room Tip: I think you're better off on the second floor, so you hear nobody stomping around above you. Als...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry to hear that your stay was just basic. We are new owners and are in the process of renovating the hotel. So far we have added new beds, comforters, light fixtures, shades, carpet and more. Our next step will be sound proofing. Estes Park is very expensive during Memorial Day weekend. Our off season is October through April and the rates are much more reasonable. We hope to see you again sometime!

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 6 years. Although the name and the management has changed, the quality has not. This is a very comfy place to stay near everything in Estes Park. Near the town full of shops and restaurants, also only a few miles from 2 entrances to Rocky Mountain Natl Park. The staff here is always amazing! Friendly and helpful! The rooms are modern and have all the amenities you need. Flat screen TV, microwave and fridge in the rooms. It's a 2 story hotel, with pool and hot tub, seasonal, of course. They offer a free continental breakfast in the lobby as well. We LOVE staying here, and the rates are reasonable. We have stayed at other hotels in the area, but this one is far above the rest.

Room Tip: Any room is a great room here!

I stayed here during the off season for a very reasonable rate. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic theme. The bed was comfortable. The room window looks out at beautiful mountain views (which are tough to miss in Estes Park). Unfortunately, the window also looks out onto the walkway, so you must choose views or privacy. The breakfast was simple; donuts, coffee, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc. Overall, this was a great experience.

Room Tip: All rooms face the mountains. Get one on the second floor for an optimal view.

We have stayed at this property for several years when we go to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park in the fall to see the aspens and hear the elk bugling. The management always makes us feel so welcome; they can't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the complimentary breakfasts are adequate, and complimentary snacks and juices are available all day. We think that it is an excellent value for the money. Estes Park was badly hurt by the floods in the summer of 2013, but it has recovered very well. Brownfield's Trading Post and the Plum Creek Shoe Station in the town, and the Estes Park Mountain Shop two miles east of the hotel are great places to shop, too.

Room Tip: Be sure to set your parking brake carefully; the view is great because the hotel is on a hillside!

We have stayed here twice now. Both times we found rooms were clean, quiet. It is conveniently located and easy access to RMNP. We found it to be well priced and appreciated that it was pet friendly. It isn't a five star plush hotel, but clean and we'll maintained. Exactly as expected for the price.

It was a short stay at Estes park but the hotel was fantastic. Has a cabin type feel. Very clean room and you could see the rocky mountains from the room. The view is simply amazing. Would definitely go back.

Comfortable, clean room with a great view. What I liked best about this hotel was the friendly and helpful staff. Enrique was very helpful, suggesting different day trips, advising on the road conditions due to the floods in September, and sharing information about Estes Park. It was a treat to walk out every morning to a magnificent view of the mountains on our way to the office for a free continental breakfast. Breakfast time lasted until 10:30 which is nice for late sleepers. Once breakfast time was over, they provided snacks, juice, bottled water, coffee, hot water for tea or cocoa all day long. Thank you Hotel Estes for providing a home away from home on our very first trip to Estes Park. We will definitely stay at Hotel Estes when we return.
