We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our road trip from the grand canyon all the way up to rocky mountain. It was the best place we stayed at our entire trip! We stayed condo suite #20, with one queen bed and a king bed. Yes, the condo is small, and the king size bed was in the living room, but for what we needed, it was great. The kitchen was sufficient, and the bathroom was especially nice. After all, we were barely in the condo because we were in the park all day. It was nice to be able to come back during dinner and cook up a quick meal on the grill, then head back to the park. It is close to the shops and good eating places as well. The best part is the grounds. You can hear the raging river while you sleep, and the hammock outside is situated in a nice area. We would definitely go back when we visit Rocky Mountain National Park again!

We would like to say that that the cabins at Streamside are beautiful and well kept! We stayed for the labor day weekend and were very pleased. The cabins were very clean and all the amenities were included. The location of the cabins alone is beautiful, along the streamside and somewhat private. Even though cabins are ajoined, there is much privacy for patio areas. If you want to take a hike and not have to drive to Rocky Ntl Park, there is a hike just off the premises. The view is great and the hike is moderate and quick (about 1hr roundtrip). The staff was very helpful and nice. On the way to Streamside we got lost due to an auto accident, we called Streamside and they were very helpful and patient with us. We would definitely stay here again!!! The location, upkeep, staff, and privacy are great!

Last week my wife and I spent four wonderful pre-Labor Day weekend days at the Streamside resort in Estes Park. The property has 19 fully equiped cabins right on Fall River and became our favorite place to stay when visiting the area.

In the past we spent most of our time hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park but this time it was just a few short hikes, some fishing and just enjoying Streamside. We always see wildlife here and on this stay we were pleasantly surprised to observe a flock of wild turkeys walking around on the property.

We consider our preferred cabin, the Alp Lily, our second "home!"

We came up on a very busy weekend to Estes Park with our 2 young children. Estes Park was packed with people and parking was tough but possible. Made our way through town and found our cabins at Streamside on Fall River. We were really excited to see how beautiful the grounds were kept as we pulled in over the bridge to the other side of the river where the cabins were located. It was a beautiful spot with cabins along the river as was ours though on the back side of the 4 units. The cabins sit back behind another hotel that is closer to the road and helps to block some of the noise from the significant daytime traffic going to and from Rocky Mountain National Park but without disturbing any of the beautiful scenery.

We stayed in the Mountain Marigold cabin 11B and it was great. It had a well groomed grass area in front of the cabin that was great for the kids to play on as well as a hammock to kick back and relax on. The inside was really cute and the fully stocked kitchen was truly fully stocked wih all the kitchen dishes, pots and pans, soaps and dish towels necessarry. We were able to live very comfortably for 3 days there. The only negative thing was that the one room that had a connecting door with ours at the bathrooms had only a small hollow wood door between us that didn't keep any of the sounds or our rooms apart. Which in our case was fine but I am sure the neighbors in our adjoining room didn't always appreciate the sounds of small children in the early mornings. If they could just replace that door with something more sound proof it would really be perfect.

We spent the evenings in the hot tubs and pool spa that they have. Not very big but really nicely maintaned with the spa and attached pool inside and two more 4 person hot tubs outside in seperate semi-enclosed areas. Really nice and easy to walk to on the paved paths with lights on the bridges to the pool and office. At night sitting on our patio we saw a beautiful fox run from the river over the paths and behind the office. Very fun!

All in all I would strongly suggest this beautiful location for a 3-5 day trip to Estes Park. You need at least 3 days to really fully enjoy Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park area. There is a lot to do in this beautiful place. The wildlife is amazing! We saw elk, fox, coyote, a wild turkey and her babies and to top it all as we left Bear Lake we were met a large black bear by the side of the road checking out the cars as we slowly made our way by him. FANTASTIC!!! The kids were so excited!

We are locals from Denver and really appreciate having such a great place so close to us. We encourage anyone from any part of the world who enjoys nature, hiking camping or simply shopping and staying in beautiful cabins like Streamside on Fall River to come on up. It is well worth the trip.

I visited SOFR this August with my family, and was looking to escape the city and really get my relax on. This is the perfect place to chill out. I paid approx. $200 a night for the 'condo' and would return.

The grounds are meticulously manicured, and the river runs through the site. It looks like there were about 25 cabins/condos/duplexes on the property. Please note that they all share walls, but in our case, we did not hear a peep out of either of our neighhbors. The condo was very very well insulated for sound.

The living room area contained one bed, and then another one of the bedrooms contained a second bed, plus dresser and closet. The condo was in no way luxurious, but it also was not a disappointment. It was appropriate for the area and the cost.

The unit we stayed in had a nice patio with a new Weber grill (very very clean), and galley kitchen with coffee pot, utensils, pots and pans and all glassware you need. It also had a toaster and other niceties, which was nice, as we cooked in alot.

The bathroom featured a big soak tub with jets. It was quite nice. There were issues with the grouting on the tiles, etc., but again, we were only paying $200 a night, so that is what I expect for this amount of money per night.

The DVD player and free movies was a nice touch. There was a gas fireplace alongside the couch, which came in handy, even in the Summer there! It was cozy.

The beds were OK, nothing special, and the blankets and coverlets had seen better days. The dust and scent were offputting, but, hey, I put up with is as we were not there to sleep the nights and days away. But if you have problems with allergies, you will have an issue with their musty bedding. It hurt my eyes and it takes alot of dust for my eyes to react like this. There was no cover on the bedsprings, so this also adds to the musty and dusty issue.

There were robes in the room, but when I went to put mine on, it had a distinct scenf of a man's aftershave. I highly suspect it was not washed for our arrival. I smelled another scent on another robe, that being a flowery perfume. Again, from the previous tenant.

The front desk people were nice, and gave us suggestions on where to go and what to do when prompted. Otherwise, they leave you alone to explore on your own. They did suggest we eat next door, but more on that later.

It was nice to drive into town every night and get a decent meal, but note you cannot walk to town from here. YOu can walk over to the steakhouse Nicky's. We did; it was horrible. Don't expect anthing but fried and tired food there, with a lot of old bottles hanging from the ceiling (odd). But it was OK for a cocktail and a laugh. We ended up eating the food we brought with us for dinner (powerbars).

I give the SOFR two thumbs up, not raised high and mighty, but just right for the entire Estes Park experience. A little odd, a little musty and out of date, kitchy, and just fine for a few days.

We just got home from a great week at Streamside!
We stayed in 11-B for a full week with our two 7-year olds, while my mother stayed in the adjoining 11-A. The interior of the cabin was not anything fancy, but was well-furnished and comfortable enough. We made good use of our kitchen and gas grill, and ate out on the porch nearly every night. The grounds were peaceful and well-kept, and the kids loved riding their scooters around the complex. The "swimspa" was fun, but definitely only big enough for one family to use at a time. We will likely return in the future!

We enjoyed our three night stay at Streamside in June, 2008. Very pretty location. Easy access to downtown Estes Park and RMNP. Having a kitchen was a convenience. Free wifi came in handy, however our cell phone (alltel) did not have good service on the property. Had to drive about 1/2 mile towards town to get good service. Our room was very clean. We are looking forward to staying there again on future visits to the area.
