“Most wonderful vacation”

I'm am so thrilled that we took the chance on the extra $50 a night and stayed here over the Best Western in town. It was everything the website promised. Clean, beautifully furnished, quiet and restful setting. Only a mile and a half from the park entrance. The staff was friendly, we enjoyed the deck every evening, the gas fireplace every chilly morning, the jaccuzzi every night. I would and intend to, return again and again.

Room Tip: We had one of the cabins on the other side of the river (actually a running brook) and I believe tha...

This review is not for the cabins on the river, rather the vacation home located off-site from the river cabins. We booked our trip to Estes Park at the last minute so although we didn't need the spaciousness of the vacation home and would have preferred to be on the river, the home was available and we decided to give it a try. It is located in a secluded area on the side of a mountain and is a gorgeous home. There were four bedrooms including the loft, a large living/dining area with a fireplace, a small but serviceable kitchen, and a small bathroom with shower. We fell in love with it the moment we walked in the door. My daughter claimed the loft bedroom which is adorable with a beautiful mountain view. There were wild turkeys roaming around the home when we arrived, which added to our delight. We also saw three deer in the yard that first night.

We checked in at the home just before dark and went to bed fairly early in preparation for our hike the next day. The next morning we discovered a maintenance problem that made us uncomfortable. The owner came out and did what he could do for a quick fix, spending a lot of time trying to get the problem resolved. His attention put our minds at ease. Unfortunately the problem worsened each day, and as much as we wanted to love this vacation home, it wasn't working out.

Sometimes things happen. We understand that; it's life. Management of The Evergreens took our concerns seriously. They found us alternative accommodations through another resort (their other cabins were booked) and made the arrangements for us to transfer. They immediately went into the vacation home and began to make necessary repairs. Although we are disappointed that things didn't work out as planned, we have no complaints with The Evergreens. They did everything they could do to make a bad situation right for us. They assured us this was an unusual circumstance that they did not foresee, and they would right it for future guests.

We would definitely stay there again once the maintenance issues are resolved. It's a beautiful property and a spacious accommodation, and what makes it really great is that the owners/management are terrific people.

Both times I stayed here it was a last minute decision. Both times it has been clean and friendly. I enjoy the jacuzzi tub, fireplace and the location to the park. The rooms are nice and quite, within moments of being here I saw two deer. Gorgeous.

My husband & I, along with our son and his wife and 2 little ones stayed the week of September 3-8 in cabin #13. As others have noted, part of the property is just below US34 that takes you into RMNP, and the other part of the property is across the river. Since all of the hotels/motels/cabins on Fall River Road are located on either side of the road, there will be some road noise no matter where you stay; however we were not bothered by the sound of traffic especiallysince we were across the river. Our cabin (yes, it is a duplex type building) was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and relaxing and listening to the wind through the pines and the river rolling by. There was an ice maker in the frig so no issues with ice as someone had commented on. We were very pleased with our stay and would stay here again.

When my girlfriend booked our weekend at The Evergreens she had no end of positive things to say from her previous stay and none of her praises were unfounded. Immaculate rooms, incredible location and instant enjoyment of mountain living make this a top choice of the many possible selections along the river in Estes Park. Greeted as family at check in and more than satisfied with our suite, the wild life, foliage and proximity to flowing water, we found the many amenities offered here to our liking. Only a short and gorgeous drive from the Denver metro area and sunk into the breathtaking National Park, The Evergreens is more than you would expect from beginning to end. And, there is a gas grill outside every room!

My husband and I stayed at The Evergreens the week of August 13-20. It is a lovely place to stay. We stayed in cabin 13 which is on the backside of the property. I would suggest that you ask for a cabin on the backside of the property because it puts you further away from US 34 and feels more rustic. The cabins are very clean and up to date. There are gas fireplaces in each cabin and we used ours a few times on cool evenings and early mornings. It was very cozy! We enjoyed sitting on the small deck watching the birds and listening to the river. Althought the cabins adjoin, it is very quiet and we did not hear our neighbors. There are small gas grills available by each cabin. The Evergreens is located very close to the entrance to RMNP which made it very handy for us to enter the park. I can't wait to go back!

Stayed 8/13 through 8/20 in Cabin #13. Very enjoyable location next to Fall River. A small deck overlooks the river and is a great place for morning coffee. Cabin was clean with all basic amenities. Unit was 2 bedroom with jacuzzi but one has option of not paying for the extras reducing overall cost. I think that's a good arrangement for a retired couple as ourselves. Housekeeping was excellent. Basic kitchen appliances, sans oven, were modern. Each cabin has its own LP grill at front door, a nice added bonus for those of us who like to grill our food. Location is within 3 miles of RMNP eastern entrance. Park access very easy. Overall I give it an A rating and will certainly stay again if the opportunity occurs.

Room Tip: Ask for cabins behind office, they are more secluded away from the highway & offer more privacy...
