We made a last minute reservation here with a relative in town and found the unit nicely remodeled with lots of updates and nicely equipped for seniors with handicapped rails, fresh paint, new carpet, comfortable beds, air conditioning and wi-fi. the room, sundeck and pool was very clean and well-maintained. The inn is very close to the entrance of Rocky National Park on Moraine and just minutes away from down town Estes. the staff and owners were very accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Best to choose a room furthest from the highway and either on the top floor or a unit with nobody ab...

Our family has stayed her many times over the last 20 years, and would never consider a different motel when we travel to Estes Park. The rooms are very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, the location is fantastic (on the quieter west side of town, and closer to RMNP entrance, and there is a gas station and grocery store across the street). Jay and Fran-you are the BEST!

Room Tip: family unit is nice with complete kitchen facilities

What a wonderful place to stay! Our family of four stayed in a room with a balcony and enjoyed the beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains each morning and evening. We even saw an elk one morning just across the street. The location is perfect, less than a five minute drive to the park entrance where we had a great time hiking. We also walked to mini golf one evening, just a short stroll down the road. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff that were there over the weekend when we stayed were excellent. The kids loved the free hot chocolate and a big thank you to Robert for recommending the best lake to see moose in the park when he heard we were hoping to spot some. We will definitely stay here again when visiting RMNP.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms are great for a view of the mountains.

We stayed with the Alpine Trail Ridge Inn both before and after our wedding in July 2014. Prior to our wedding we stayed in one of the standard king rooms. The room had quite a bit of space and was clean and comfortable. After our wedding we stayed in the Western King Suite. We loved how spacious and clean the room was! The recliners in front of the television were great. And we were even surprised with flowers and a card to congratulate our marriage by Fran and Jay, the owners. Little touches like this are what made our stay perfect. Our entire family stayed in various rooms on the property during the week that we were there for our wedding and everyone had good things to say. There is a restaurant in the adjacent building and the food is very good there. Would definitely come back here and would recommend this property to anyone we know that is visiting the area!

As always, just a fine place to stay, eat, sleep, visit the park or downtown. Very helpful for guidance in the park as they have years of experience about trails, animals, flowers and hiking. Noteworthy is Fran Grooter's outdoor experience as she has hiked all the park trails, mapped them and sells these maps at the front desk. They're up to date with Estes Park activities and provide very reliable information regarding car repairs. Surprises too. The front desk has an outstanding nature photographer with top notch photos to show any who are interested. Robert the photographer, enjoys suggesting possible locations for wildlife viewing if asked. Also, if available, Jay Grooter is a master stain-glass artist and enjoys showing photos of his fine colorful creations. Everyone is very friendly.

Room Tip: Ask the front desk

There were so many options in Estes Park, I finally just picked one. So glad we got Alpine Trail Ridge Inn. It was perfect for our needs - family with kids 6 and 13. The hotel is just minutes from the Rocky Mountain National Park, and also away from the crowds in downtown Estes. The heated pool was a big hit with the kids. The view of the mountains was a hit with me. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. There is a restaurant next to the hotel that was convenient and good, and a grocery store and gas station just across the intersection. The staff was helpful and friendly, and came immediately to our room when we had a question about the WI-FI. Definitely will go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room, if available.

The Alpine Trail Ridge Inn is located perfectly - close to the National Park. Due to flooding in the area the season before, we took a more alternative route to the park, but it was still very nice and close.

This is a good example of a typlcal older America family motel. The upkeep is nice, but it does still have some character. Nothing fancy about it, but I thought it was a good value for a night's stay. They have an outdoor pool which appeared very nice, but we did not utilize it. I especially liked the fact that we could open sliding doors iin our room to get some fresh air and look out on the mountains. The grounds themselves are not particularly scenic, but they are clean and maintained. Window air conditioning unit which we only used for a short time to freshen up the room, as it was a pretty cool day. The room was comfortable with nice rocker/recliner (which hubby loved) and another comfortable easy chair. It also had a desk.

All in all, I would stay here again for the same purpose. You won't exactly feel pampered, but you will feel like someone cares about your stay. Very nice front desk ladies :) Photos included...

Room Tip: We had a room facing the back of the property and I thought it was the best spot. It's elevated...
