The Woodlands on Fall River
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 9 June 2011

We stayed at the Woodlands on fall River recently while moving into a Townhouse here in Estes Park. the staff at the Woodlands are very friendly, and helpful. We are in our 60's and find the pease and quiet very nice. The river flows withinin yards of the suites and it is very comforting to hear.. Everything that you need is in the suite for a comfortable stay. The bigest advantage is a full kitchen, you can prepare your meals and save on money to help offset the high gas prices while traveling. Each room has a TV in it for viewing your favorite shows or moviws that are provided at the office. There is a laundry facility near the office to launder your clothes which is a big plus if you are traveling for a long time. I highly recommend the Woodlands and will recommend it to our family and friends when they visit us.

We were very happy with our choice to stay here. Very happy with the accommodation, we stayed in an upstairs apartment which was most comfortable, clean and had internet which we needed for our 3 night stay in May. Helpful staff and such a lovely setting. Never been before and would gladly stay again. We arrived in sunshine, had word there may be snow showers...but got a blanket of snow. Truly wonderland. It did impede what we could actually see in the RMNP but we went, and it was wonderful. Only niggle during our stay was that when we went to find the couple of restaurants we had been recommended, they were not open!. But at the point of not finding anything one lunchtime after 3 attempts, ate in one Mexican place in the centre- and it was terrible what they served up. So we just accepted to happily self -cater, the supermarket is not far away..

Love this place! Wonderful place for wildlife viewing. We saw elk, big horn sheep, turkeys, marmots, and a resident red fox. Lots of birds, too. Just a short drive from Rocky Mountain National Park and from downtown shopping. We will definately be back!

Room Tip: The first downstairs suite next to the driveway

This was my second time staying here, and I wasn't disappointed. My husband and I really liked the one bedroom suite we'd rented a couple of years back, so when my brother and niece came to visit, I thought we'd try a 2 bedroom suite. We really enjoyed our stay! The suite was clean, comfortable, and tastefuly decorated. There's a welcome basket waiting when we arrived, nie touch. It was great having a full kitchen, and we appreciated the fireplace (and wood was provided!). Management was wonderful, they were able to accommodate our last minute reservation, and were friendly and helpful with information about the wildlife and things to do. The only thing we'd change would be the sleeper sofa; not comfortable at all...just sleep on the sofa, unless you like springs. Wish they allowed pets, this place would be perfect for regular weekend getaways! I'd highly recommend staying here.

We stay at the Woodlands any chance we get. Listening to the river out the front door is awesome. The service is always top notch. Everything is well maintained at all times. We will be back again and again.

What a wonderful experience. The room, amenities, setting and the gracious staff were terrific. The unit, with a full kitchen was everything we could hope for. Beautiful fireplace and patio overlooking the river was perfect.

We stayed at the Woodlands for my husband's birthday weekend, and selected this property based on prior reviews. We were not disappointed! A beautiful setting, nestled in the pines along the river. Service was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised by the personal touch with the welcome basket. Appreciated the free Wi-fi so our kids could stay connected!

We stayed in condo #1 on the corner nearest the office. We were greeted with bighorn sheep, wild turkeys, and elk right outside our front door both days. Little things make a big difference: a night light in the bathroom, free Wi-fi, DVDs on loan, a gas grill on the patio so we could cook out, adirondack chairs along the river in front of the condo, close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park.

The condo itself was very clean and the kitchen included everything we needed. The kitchen is small with little counter space, but when we're on vacation, we don't plan huge gourmet meals. Furnishings and decor were ok, could have been more contemporary for our tastes but were in good shape. Beds and chairs were comfortable. Hot tub on site but not individual hot tubs with each condo.

Our teen and pre-teen children loved the Woodlands and it completely met our family's needs and price point, while exceeding our expectations. We will definitely go back.
