“A Super week at the Woodlands !!!!!!!”
Reviewed 14 July 2012

We stayed at the woodlands on the fall river the first week of July. What a great and
wonderful place. Very clean. super setting, quiet, lots of wild life, we saw a black bear
a yearling buck in velvet, an marmet and tons of hummingbirds, I mixed up some sugar water and had them drinking from my cupped hands. We haven't been to Estes
park for about 21 years. Its changed alot over the years, but for the better. everyone
we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. The woodlands is just about 2.5 miles
from the entrance to the RMNP. we bought a park pass for the week, and were their
just about every day. we went horse back riding, we did an off road tour, and went
fishing for trout. what a great place to stay. we highly recommend the Woodlands to
anyone who is traveling to Estes park. but book early as they are sold out almost
every week.

Hiker to ice cream eater will find The Woodlands the best place to enjoy the Estes area and All its glory. The sound of The Fall River rolling past your front door will bring you to a state of calm you do not remember ever having. The property is beautiful the manager and owner do a great job.

I stayed here with two friends and this place is fantastic. Super clean and I loved all of the extras like the grill and wood for a fire every night. The stream running past is very nice. Highly recommended!

We visted the Woodlands this June and last June. Both times we had a fabulous time. We have stayed in a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom condo. The condos themselves are nicely laid out and very spacious. They have lots of storage and the views are amazing. It is fabulous to sit in the chairs out by the river. It is very close to Rocky Mountain National Park. Would stay there again and again.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are great!

Highly recommended. We stayed in a 2-bdrm unit (unit 10) in December 2011. Though it's an "upstairs" unit there are no stairs to climb. You drive up and can park your car right outside the door and walk in. It's conveniently located, just 3 miles or so from the park and less than 2 miles from downtown Estes Park. Units are clean, well-stocked with coffee, snacks, towels, firewood, etc., and very comfortable. The replenish these daily. There is even a laundry on the premises with detergent and drier sheets available. You can borrow sleds for free to use at the Hidden Valley slopes in the park. You can also borrow DVD movies from the front desk. Free extra firewood is availabe. Upon Betsy's (the manager) recommendation we rented other equipment (ski poles, crampons, winter boots, and snow shoes) from a store in downtown Estes Park. Their prices were reasonable and we had a fantastic time on the trails and slopes. The complex itself is not large just five or so 4-unit clusters right next to each other in a line, and some green space around them with a stream running nearby. The place is idyllic, fully covered in snow. We had an unforgetable time.

This hotel is very nice! The room is actually a small condo, with a bedroom, bathroom, and living area with couch, fireplace, table, and kitchenette. My husband and I got married in Estes Park last month and stayed here after our wedding. We were busy entertaining family - I wish we could have spent more time here relaxing!

The only reason I'm giving four stars and not five was that they did not clean the room or make the bed. We were there for three days, and the bed was never made. After the 2nd night, I left some wet towels on the floor to indicate that we'd like our towels to be refreshed. That night they were still there - when I brought them to the front desk and asked for new ones, the woman said that towels were only replaced if they were in the *bath*. Hm... I guess the floor would have been a clear indication of that too. Oh well - it was still pretty good.

The Woodlands was wonderful. The room was extremely clean. Location to shopping and entrance to the national park was perfect. Just a beautiful place. The elk came by daily to eat along the roadside. It was hard to leave.

Room Tip: We liked upstairs room for the view.
