We decided we could go on a honeymoon about 2 weeks before the big day. After researching a few places, we chose Sunnyside Knoll. The lady helped me book my trip, suggested which unit to rent, and gave us advice on what to do while we were there. The room (#19) was amazing. It was clean and furnished much better than I expected for the great price. The jacuzzi tub in room was amazing. We stayed for 3 nights, but I could have stayed forever. We will definitely stay here when we come back.

Room Tip: The deluxe spa suites are the best.

We love staying at Sunnyside. It's a quiet place that makes you feel right at home in the middle of nowhere. It's a nice location, between downtown Estes Park and the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. We definatley get to sit back and relax when we stay here. The real fireplace is great to great way to get cozy in the evening after a day of hiking or walking downtown. The recreation room is a nice additional as well that has games and popcorn that we enjoyed while looking through menus for a lot of restrauants in town. There are a wide selection of movies you can borrow fromt he office and enjoy.

My husband and our two kids stayed there for three nights and enjoyed the lodging. Clean rooms, nice kitchen and very quiet. We played pool in the game room while kids played puzzles. They do have pool, but we did not use it. Our cabin had hot tub inside, but we had no desire to use it as we were traveling with small kids. Our first night we had deer lounging by the boulders outside our bedroom windows and we saw fox a couple times outside the property as well. Over all nice accomodations, nothing too fancy. One inconvenience was lack of phone signal, I could not call back home until driving further into town. Since we had to drive into town for food anyway, it was not that big of deal. I would stay there again.

This was a last minute trip to RNP that I didn't have much time to plan. After calling 8 places I found a cabin at Sunnyside. The front desk was helpful and reservations were easliy placed. We rented #16 1bd,kitchen,living with hot tub. We did have a very late check-in and that was arranged with no problems. Our interactions with staff were minimum, but pleasant. The cabin was clean, no odd smells, sheets and towels were clean. Some prior reviews did have me worried, but I found no evidence of other reviewers stated. There was a wood burning fire place and the hot tub was clean and nice after a day of hiking.

The property is well located and very close to RNP and Estes Park, CO. The mornings found elk and fox right outside of our door. Although we were not there too often other than sleep and eating breakfast our stay was pleasant.

Room Tip: Cabin 16 is up the hill a little and you do have a good chance to see wildlife from the porch.

We stayed in cabin 16 for 3 nights. The carpet was grimy beyond belief – I didn’t walk barefoot on it. The shower/tub and surround was so old and beat up it was hard to tell if it was clean or not, plus it was very dark in there – just creepy. The bathroom ceiling fixture had one bulb out when we got there; they gave us a replacement but we had to change it ourselves and ended up leaving the cover off to have a bit more light (a mixed blessing as it turned out). The indoor hot tub had black bits of something (?) floating in the bottom. The door on the tiny half-fridge in the kitchen wouldn’t close and seal all the way. The kitchen drawers with the utensils were full of crumbs etc. The steel kitchen sinks were beat up and desperately needed a good scrubbing, but for some reason they post little signs everywhere telling guests NOT to use any abrasive cleaners on anything. Almost funny – abrasive cleaning is exactly what the entire place needs!!! There’s more but I’ll stop now. All I can say is there’s nothing worse than looking forward to a nice getaway and then feeling “ugh” when you arrive… and you’re stuck because no way they’re going to let you leave early without paying for the entire time.

We had a fullly furnished kitchen. Everything in our room was spotless. l usually don't put our things in the drawers, but these were very clean and I felt totally comfortable using them. Very pet friendly. Wonderful setting with a lot of places to sit and enjoy the trees and birds. Close to Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park and town. There is a great rec room with books to read and a pool table. It was a little noisy during the day (we had our windows open), but later on in the early evening it was nice and quiet. There are sidewalks right out of the parking lot, and our dog enjoyed our early morning walks. We will definitely stay here again. The owners were very friendly and accomodating.

The room smelled like cigarettes and had a mold smell. A wedding party was happening right outside my room and it was noisy. There were other vacancies but they refused to move me because they said that there was nothing comparable. They tried to get the smell out, but it was still bad - between the chemicals and the cigarettes I had a headache in the morning. I would never stay there again.
