“There's more to Estes than ticky-tacky”

At least there used to be, and the museum highlights it. One of the more authentic places in Estes Park. Right next to the senior center on the way into town on Hwy 36.

“Interesting & Educational”
Reviewed 21 January 2012

We enjoyed this museum. If you are interested in Estes Park and the area, it is excellent. It would not compare to large city, hands-on, interactive, entertain the kids for the day museums, however.

“Great Exhibits and Talks”
Reviewed 11 January 2012

This museum seems small but has a lot of exhibits, especially if you like to read and learn from the signs. Some great items from local history, like Native American clothes and a Stanley Steamer car. Outdoors are more items, like an old log house, and a building that holds the current special exhibit (like Isabella Bird, or national park art). The large lecture hall has talks frequently (like Indians living in the National Park, and organic gardening). The Friends of the Museum sponsor great special events, especially the house tours! Lots of good history books for sale too.

“A MUST for anyone intersted in area history!”
Reviewed 16 May 2008

The Estes Park Musuem is a wonderful addition to the town of Estes Park. They have done a great job creating and maintaining exhibits which showcase local history. They also have traveling exhibits which highlight important events or people related to the area. In addition, they have a wonderful lecture series as well as education programs for all ages. They even have a kids corner to keep the younger ones entertained so that you can enjoy your visit.

I would highly recommend a stop at the musuem for anyone that loves Estes Park. You will certainly gain a great insight to some of your favorite EP places and people!
