“Very clean, very small, allows pets.”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Very clean, quaint little motel. We stayed here for the Rocky Mountain Half Marathon so we didn't have to leave Denver at 3:30 am to get to Estes. I was surprised to find such a great rate when I booked this room at the last minute in July which is a huge month for tourism in Estes Park. Being that it was such a good rate, my expectations were not very high as to what we would find when we opened the door, to my surprise, the rooms although very, very small, were exceptionally clean with a nice (and also clean) bed. The staff at the desk was very nice and they allowed pets with an additional $10.00 charge, we brought our dog along and he enjoyed the big yard. I would definitely stay here again.

1st stay, but not our last. Rooms were small (really small, really really small) but very clean & bed comfortable. And that's what we wanted. At night we (two other couples) sat outside on benches or around the hot tub. And when we went to bed, quiet.

We were upgraded to a jacuzzi room, the service was friendly, and the hotel was exceptionally clean.
The location in relation to downtown Estes Park was great. It was a short drive to downtown, but far enough out of the way that it was very quiet at night.
Overall it was a very good experience.

Stayed their but he does not know how to act when you have to leave unexpectedly. He got angry and refused to refund but finally did once you explained everything to him. Shouldnt have to do that no where. So actually not a bad place, just a bad owner. I won't ever stay there again. A lot better places.

For the first time in over 2 decades my wife and I decided to celebrate our marriage with a trip alone and away from our children; it was literally a last minute decision. I made our reservation for their Jacuzzi "Honeymoon" suite with only 2 hours notice; it was accepted gladly with no problems. John, the front desk manager, (and assumed owner) was professional, polite, and quite accommodating in allowing us a late check-out at the end of our 2 day stay. The room itself was immaculately clean, cozy, and strategically located for quiet privacy. (Note: There is a skylight located directly above the soft queen sized bed; perfect for early risers. Unfortunately, the TV can't be watched while enjoying the jacuzzi; due to the noise of the water jets). The Inn also respects our country's veterans, by offering military discounts; thereby, making their room rates comparably affordable.

Love staying here! We have stayed here multiple times and know that it will be a clean and quiet place to stay. The staff is so friendly and cheerful when you walk in. It is a dog friendly hotel, which is always a plus! It is an older hotel, but very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone. You do need to drive to town, but it is not that far out of town. Just not walking distance. The breakfast is small, but if you are not a breakfast person like myself it works. :)

I have lost track of how many years we have stayed at Columbine Inn in Estes, but I know we have never been disappointed. It is one place we can stay without worrying about cleanliness (very important to me). The bed was quite comfortable -- supportive, but soft enough to suit the softie I am. We have seen the owner under a great many circumstances, but none more difficult that our recent stay since we arrived in town scant hours before the recent serious flooding began. The owner did everything in his power to help us connect with family though the task proved impossible when cell, landline phones and Internet connections were all unavailable. (The last day we learned that the town hall had a fiber-optic Internet connection which we were allowed to use.) A bit of inconvenience for us paled in comparison to the tragedy unfolding before our eyes. Our hearts go out to those Colorado residents who lost so much.

Room Tip: All the rooms in which we have stayed are clean and comfortable, but we prefer to stay inso one of t...
