We stayed at Aspen Winds for 8 nights recently, after the flood. We were delighted to stay with Phil and Dot again. The floods have hit the businesses hard during a typical busy tourist season but Aspen Winds has survived with little damage other than it being a little tricky to get into as their bridge is out. There are signs to direct and the facility is the same comfortable place we remembered. I agree with other reviews that it is always clean and we are well taken care of. The sound of the river was so refreshing (inspite of the flooding). We will be back as soon as it is a little easier to get into Estes :).

Room Tip: We prefer the upper units but that is just us. All the suites are great! We do prefer the full kitchen with the full size refrigerators for longer stays.

A great room with Jacuzzi right on the river - grass down to the river bank with rocking chairs to sit on in the evening. Well placed for the Rocky Mt National park, but quite a way out of Estes Park itself. Hope they have survived the recent floods.

Room Tip: Down stairs better as you are straight onto the garden.

For several years we have spent our vacations at Aspen Winds (usually either in the fall or spring). We have our favorite suite that we consider home (one bedroom with full kitchen, flat screen TV, DVD, Netflix along with internet). It is comfy and cozy. The owners Dot and Phil are like family; so accommodating and kind. Fall River is only a few yards away. Lovely to sit on the glider and watch the river flow and to scan the mountain for long-horned sheep and elk. We also love to sit on the deck and read or simply "be". Always quiet and relaxing. We can't stress enough our pleasure with this property. The grounds as well as the suites are well kept and very clean. We will continue to stay at Aspen Winds as long as Dot and Phil own it.

My wife and I spent three heavenly days at Aspen Winds the week prior to Labor Day. Everything about our stay was great. Check in was a breeze. Our spa room was incredibly comfortable. Close to the river and the grounds were manicured very nicely. The owners made us feel at home and all of our neighbors whom we talked to were very nice and engaging. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from it all and just chill. Will return.

Aspen Winds is wonderful. I had a king size room with a jacuzzi, refrigerator, microwave, flat screen TV, DVD player and free Netflix and Internet! All the amenities one could ask for. Has rustic feel with all the modern comforts of home. River was right outside my back door. Owners were great! One of my most memorable vacations. I highly recommond this condo.
