The Comfort Inn never disappoints. If your looking for the Ritz-Carlton, your in the wrong place! The property is older but where else can you get the views like you do here? Short walk down to Lake Estes from the property. As far as pricing, this was the lowest of the 3 tourist towns we had stayed in on this trip thru the Black Hills, Yellowstone and RMNP.

Room Tip: we prefer the older out buildings in back with the balconies

My husband and I recently spent three nights in this motel. Being senior citizens, we prefer staying in motels rather than remote cabins, etc. And, of course, cost is always important. The Comfort Inn on Big Thompson Ave. was the perfect place for us! The staff could not have been friendlier nor more helpful. The location is great - only about a mile from the visitors' information center where you can learn all about the free shuttles which start around the first weekend in July. The motel is also within walking distance to Lake Estes. It is not a new motel, so the carpet may be worn a bit in spots, but the prices are reasonable and the setting is quite nice. I am gluten intolerant, so it was nice to have the eggs, yogurt, bananas, and sausage at breakfast instead of merely wheat items. The breakfast area is a bit crowded at certain times because everyone is getting in there at the same time to get ready to go into the park. We met two or three couples while at breakfast who said they had been coming to this motel for four and five years - always a good sign! And Estes Park can be crowded in certain areas because of all the tourists. This motel has the parking lots numbered so you know you will have a parking spot ready for you when you come at night. Nice place to stay!

Room Tip: The grounds are centered around a nice little area of trees, so it is rather spread out. Some rooms...

We stayed at the Comfort Inn, Estes Park for 2 nights at the start of our US Road Trip through 4 US States visiting the National Parks.

The room we had was a little small, but adequate for our needs - well we only really needed a comfortable bed and coffee maker! but the icing on the case was our second morning when we awoke to see Elke wandering around quite close to our room and the views of the mountains were to die for.

The breakfast was excellent - plenty of hot and cold choices. Would certainly stay here again.

Thank you for your review. Our hotel is located on 5 acres and has four buildings. The rooms in the main building are larger and closer to the breakfast area and pool. Our other buildings have smaller rooms with better views. All of our rooms do have the same amenities. I prefer our mountain view rooms as they feel more secluded and peaceful. Our Your Morning Breakfast has a wide variety of options including: scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage, bread items, cereal, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, coffee, tea, and juice. I am happy you were able to see some elk during your stay as well. The elk and deer love the field behind our hotel and often stop and take a break on their way to and from Lake Estes. Again thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again soon!

We stayed here during part of our vacation. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Estes Park. The breakfast buffet was great and the kids enjoyed a dip in the pool each night. Rooms were quiet and spacious. Hotel staff was friendly and accomodating. They were able to extend our stay there when our Colorado Springs part of the trip had to be cancelled due to the wildfires. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms with the two queen beds were spacious. Included microwave, fridge, and coffee maker.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Our interior corridor rooms are spacious and are great for families. During this recent heat wave our outdoor pool has been hit with guests looking to cool down after a long day hiking or shopping. We try our best to make every guests' experience a positive one. It is good to hear that we were able to extend your stay. We accommodated as many as we could with re-planning vacations and routing detours during the recent wildfires down south. Again thank you for staying with us, and we do hope to see you again.

Stayed here during the triple digit temperature highs and wildfires - in fact, traffic flow in the town was restricted one day by the police due to a fire about 4 miles away. Quite pricey for what you get but that's what you get for going to a hotel outside of a national park in the summer. Prices are more expensive during the Friday + Saturday night stays, so if you want to save some money, plan accordingly. Spend the extra $$ for an inside corridor room as you'll get a bigger room with more security. Having breakfast on-site is definitely a plus.

Room Tip: Spend the extra $$ for an inside corridor room for more space + security.
