Reviewed 5 December 2012

We met some friends for a light dinner and drinks. The atmosphere is fun and decor is modern. Good bar selection

“top notch food, expensive experience”
Reviewed 29 November 2012

5 adults and a 3 year old, the day after Thanksgiving. Staff had no trouble handling an active 3 year old - attentive, very pleasant. A couple of appetizers, 5 entrees, 6 alcoholic drinks, 1 dessert - $250. $11 for a martini is a rip-off. Yeah, I know that's not unusually high, but t's still a rip-off. The entrees themselves, however, were very good to excellent and not over-priced. It wasn't crowded so we could hear ourselves talk. Dark, but enough light at the table to see each other.

“A real problem”
Reviewed 20 November 2012

Our party of six planned to eat at The Temple in advance of a nearby concert. The valet parking was a draw. Bur when we arrived numerous cars were backed up waiting for this service. When I approached the manager, he essentially said there was nothing he could do and my suggestion that he at least post someone outside to explain the situation was not well received. Eventually the valet said the service was not operating I pulled out of the line and found a parking place several blocks away. But this created a delay in ordering and given that the restaurant was busy, our food was very slow to arrive. When I again approached my friend the manger to note our need to eat and get to the concert his response was "You and everybody else." We rushed our meal when it finally arrived and made it to the concert in the nick of time. But a first class restaurant should anticipate problems such as valet load and be more responsive to customer needs.

“Good food, nice setting”
Reviewed 15 November 2012

We just arrived in Providence after a long travel day. This restaurant was a close walk from our inn, so we went for it. We had a good meal, could have been better for the cost, but still good. We had the lamb sliders. My husband had the pork chop and I had the lamb tangine----all we're good.

“Good food, bad drinks, super-cool bar”
Reviewed 10 November 2012

Temple food is worth trying but not Providence's best meal. I had the pork chop and it was fantastic. Extensive wine selection from very pricey to a very good $30 Italian table red. Our waiter was very good. The bar is cool; very cool. But for the second time, the mixed drinks were terrible.
