Stayed for 6 nights while attending a conference at the Providence Convention Centre. It’s a very short (<5min) and pleasant walk to the Convention Centre… although I should point out that the Westin is actually physically connected to the Convention Centre via an enclosed overpass, so if that’s important to you, The Westin could be a better option. Providence is small, so easy walking distance to downtown area (10min), the mall and river (8min) etc…

My room (#1129) was clean and stylish, but very small. Comfortable bed, good shower, hot water etc… It seemed too small to be a family-friendly hotel, but didn’t cater for business either… there was no workstation for a laptop at all. If I was planning do to more laptop work, I would definitely find a different hotel.

In terms of amenities… had to pay ~USD$10 per night/per device for wireless internet. Laundry service was efficient and good quality. The gym was not bad and never seemed over-crowded.

Breakfast in Shula’s wasn’t bad… range was limited, but the quality was good. The queue for the omelet station could be improved, but the service was friendly.

Checkin and checkout were very easy, and the team seemed friendly and hospitable.

Overall, this was a good experience, with no serious gripes. A very smooth experience, but the rooms are *really* small with no workspace so would probably choose a different hotel just for that reason alone.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are located directly next door to the Dunkin Donuts Center, which is located between the Hilton and the RI Convention Center.

The room you had reserved was one of our Queen size rooms. These rooms typically sell for a slightly reduced rate as compared to our rooms with a King bed or two double beds. The King bedded and two Double bedded rooms are larger and come with a desk work station. Our apologies if we were sold out, and unable to extend the opportunity to move to one of these rooms.

The internet service is complimentary for our Diamond and Gold HHonor members. It does not take many stays to reach the Gold level, and if you contact the hotel or access Hilton.com the enrollment process is relatively quick.

We hope you allow us the opportunity to host you again, and experience the workstation/desk we have available in our slightly larger King or Double bedded rooms.

The Hilton is well positioned in Providence. Within walking distance of the Conference Centre, shopping mall and "waterfront" restuarants. The hotel is tired and very much middle of the road. There is a small staff who are polite and efficient but seemed tired also. The room on check in was not suitable - soft beds. The next room had slightly firmer beds. When compared to our next hotel - Hilton Logan Airport - they were decidedly soft. All the basics were in place. There is no executive level and all the rooms appeared to be the same. The parking was very expensive for the location. $25 per day and this was due apparently to the fact that the parking is provided by an independent operator. The parking 'operators' were very much about to make sure they collected the parking fee. Parking across the road is available for the same price and paid to the same operators, so we had to park at the hotel. I went to the Marriott near the State buildings and there parking was free and the hotel was vibrant with plenty of facilities. Breakfast at Shula's was ok as long as you didn't ask the chef to cook anything. Omlettes and fried eggs were a challenge so stick to the scrambled eggs. Next time we will stay at the Marriott.

Room Tip: High floor as far away from the highway as possible!

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for falling short of your expecations. The Hilton Providence is located in the heart of Downtown, and we are fortunate to have a parking garage and parking lot located right next to the hotel. As is the case with most Downtown locations, parking is operated by 3rd parties and a fee is charged. The parking fees at the lots near the Hilton are competitive, and our guest also receive a discounted rate. Hotels that as a standard offer complimentary parking are not located next to the Dunkin Donuts Center, RI Convention Center, or within walking distance of Federal Hill and all that DT Providence has to offer.

We are dissapointed ot hear that your experience at our "Award Winning" breakfast buffet did not meet your expectations. We have a cooked to order Omelet and Belgian waffle station that is one of the highlights of our buffet.

Please reach out to us as we would like to have the opportunity to host you again in the future. I am confident that your experience was the exception rather than the rule, as many of our Trip Advisor comments are very positive.

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Providence, 2 blocks away (2 minute walk) from the convention center and close to a wide range of hotels (Marriott, winham), restaurants and bars. The rooms are great, beds are very comfortable, AC works perfectly, the water is hot and the pressure is right. You won't need to waste time trying to Look for the electrical socket for your phone or computer and they are easily accessible. I wish the room I stayed in had a mini fridge so I could keep some cold drinks there. All the staff was very friendly and helpful, and we're able to accommodate my needs without any problem even though I was staying while a convention was taking place. If you are Hilton hhonors, you ll get vouchers for breakfast.... The buffet was ok (need a bigger fruit selection) but the coffee was amazing and perfect to start the day. Be ready to pay $20 ($25?) a day for parking your car here.

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the hotel, and the service the staff provided.

Our "award winning" breakfast buffet is not complimentary, but if you are a Gold or Diamond member of our Hilton Honors frequent traveler program it is complimentary. We do not manage the parking garage adjacent to the hotel, but are fortunate that our location has parking this close to the hotel. Many hotels in DT Providence do not have a parking garage so close. The parking rate is discounted for guest of the hotel, and is priced reasonably compared to the other locations.

Next to the Dunkin Donuts Center, the Covention Center, and a very short walk to Federal Hill the Hilton Providence is an ideal location for all travelers.

I stayed on business and found the property conveniently located to our offices but also great for shopping or eating at the end of the day (no car required). Just a few minutes from the mall with a satellite Starbucks, so grabbing morning coffee was easy.

One small annoyance, internet is not free - unless you are a Hilton Honors member- but didn't work for me. I didn't raise it to the front desk so not sure why it didn't work.

Staff very nice and helpful. Would stay again.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Our location is one of, if not the best in DT Providence. We are within walking distance of many businesses, and retail/dining.

Our apologies for any issue you experienced with the internet service. We recently upgraded our system, and HSIA provider. Since the change in providers we have had minimal if any service issues. Please reach out to us and let us know what issue you encountered so we can research and share wth our new provider.

Thanks again, and we look forward to hosting you soon.

I stayed here on an overnight and found the hhonors gold/diamond floor very nice. It was extremely quiet and the room was perfect. Breakfast was superb, one of the best I have had at a Hilton property. I found the location very central to many shops / eateries. I would definately recommend this property and will be staying there again!

I spent 4 nights at the Hilton Hotel in Providence from June 20th.
The hotel is not far from the highway, but it's also not so far the italian neightborhood and downtown.
It's located right behind the Conference Center as well.
The staff was friendly.

The hotel was nice and room are quite clean.
Maybe a 4* hotel must have larger rooms but it's ok.
The other thing a 4* hotel MUST have is a free internet connection. If you want it you have to pay...
The pool is very tiny and the temperature is kept a bit too warm.

I was at the 14th floor and my room was not soundproof (I could hear people talking on the other side of the wall..). That was a bit annoying.

So, the hotel was nice and the staff was great, but if you plan to go to Providence I suggest you to search for other hotels that maybe offer the same (or better I hope) services at the same price..

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am pleased to hear you had a nice stay. I hear many comments about how nice it is to be within walking distance of Federal Hill. We are the closest Full Service hotel to Federal Hill!

We do charge fourf our internet service, and it is problem free. Our top tiered HHonors members, Gold and Diamond, get free use of the Internet.

Thanks again, and hope you will give us another opportunity to host you in the future.
