“Great view, good food, awesome service!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

My husband and I visited Lubec during the 6/13 weekend for the Bay Of Fundy marathon. The location was perfect, the view from the room was splendid, the food just right and the staff so very welcoming and friendly. We loved the treat bag at our door the morning of the race, nice touch!
Our greyhound loved lounging on the deck with the locals and runners. We would definetely stay here again should we come back to the Lubec area.

Room Tip: pet friendly

We had planned a trip to Lubec to take a charter boat out to see the Puffins. We made a reservation in advance to stay at Cohill's. While we were driving up, the charter company called and left a voicemail (cell service is spotty up there) that the seas were too rough and the boat would not be going out the next morning. We arrived a bit later than expected at the Inn, but they were just happy to have us arrive safely. They contacted the charter company for us to try and get us on another trip that weekend. After a very long drive, they kept the pub open a bit longer and let us sneak in a few pints to relax. Disappointed that we drove all those hours only to have our excursion cancelled, they answered multitudes of questions and offered lots of advice on other things to do and see in the area.

Continental breakfast had everything one would expect; cereal, juice, coffee, tea, toast, english muffins, yogurt & fruit. We did eat dinner there one night as well and had one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. Our room was spacious, clean and had an amazing view. Wifi worked great. Very happy with our stay at Cohill's. Hopefully we'll be back one day to see those Puffins!

Location is excellent, adjacent to the harbor and on the street with most of the town's stores and restaurants. Nice view of the harbor from my room. I stayed for a week and enjoyed several meals in the dining room for lunch and supper. A simple breakfast is included with the room. There is no elevator to the rooms which are all on the 2nd and 3rd floors which would be a problem for anyone with difficulty climbing stairs.

Room Tip: More views of the water from the east facing rooms. There is no pool or fitness center.

We had the chance to spend our Labor Day week-end enjoying the comfortable, welcoming atmosphere at Cohill's Inn. The Pirate Invasion was an absolute hoot, what a cool way to spar the neighbors! Our room at the inn was perfect, couldn't be neater or more well kept. The food at the inn was outstanding, everything was fresh and local, only wish it was closer to my home. Already on our radar for a re-visit! Thanks Ellen and crew for the fantastic vacation.

Location is perfect!! $101.00per night. Homey atmosphere. We had the third floor walk-up, bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was quite small. Shower stall was very small, a plus sized person would have a very hard time maneuvering. No hair dryer or shampoo provided. There was a ceiling fan over the bed but no air conditioning. Restaurant was a little pricey 28.00 for rib-eye. My potato was cold but waitress took it back and warmed it. All in all a very nice experience a we would stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose second floor at front of inn to have a good view of harbor.

My husband and I just recently stayed @ COHILL'S INN for two nights. It was two nights too many.......Most unpleasant and expensive Inn I have ever been in. Yes the views from our room were spectacular, but we saw those same views while outside all day. First off we were on the third floor and all though I did chose the room I did not know what un safe the stairs would be.........very narrow and little to none safety features. No coffee maker in the room, in fact there was nothing in the room. No phone, no coffee maker, no air conditioner. The carpet and chairs needed much cleaning and the bathroom sink did not drain well so there was always standing water in it. The staff are the most unfriendly (almost rude) staffing I have ever come across...........not the best policy when depending on guests to make a profit from. I think they depend on their IRISH BAR to bring in the money and customers and the INN is an after thought. Anyone thinking they'd like to go to Lubec Maine and stay please do so as the scenery is beautiful...................Just stay some place other than COHILL'S INN......Oh and one other thing..............the sidewalks are pretty well rolled up by 7 or 8 at night...........Well except for the Bars and taverns. Oh and their so called continental breakfast............just ok especially if you don't mind sharing from the same jar of peanut butter and jelly as everyone else!!!

While on our trip we tried to find places on the water to have our meals.
It should have been a tip off when they didn't seat us right away ( the place was fairly empty). When we were seated she asked for our drink order my husband asked for menus she barked at him " its on the wall right next to you "! We didn't stay long but the view was beautiful.
