We stayed in a studio unit for 2 nights over a weekend. This was the second time we've stayed there and both times we've stayed in a studio unit and were very pleased. Our room had a nice view of the surrounding mountains and the second time a view of the pool area too. The bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom large and clean. There was a microwave, toaster and fridge, along with plates and silverware, so we could save money on eating out. The only minor complaint we had this trip was that the smoke detector was very sensitive. We set it off using the toaster.

The Starr Pass resort was a short drive from where we needed to go but located in a quiet, scenic area that is well worth the drive. The resort also had a nice fitness room and 25 yd lap pool, which you don't often see while on travel, as well as a jacuzzi. The area is great for runners and cyclists, just step out side your door and you can go for miles and miles.

Great for stargazing. Away from the crowds & quiet. Beautiful setting. 1/3 of the price of the JW Marriott just down the road.

Heard the coyotes howl at night-fantastic

My son and I stayed here for a golf vacation. Overall positive experience. We stayed in one of their standard rooms rather than one of the suites. Included small frig and microwave, toaster, blender, some dishes etc. so we could have some meals (breakfast) in the room. Beds were very comfortable. Shower was nice. Wasn't luxurious but we weren't paying luxury rates. Only restaurants were Catalina Steakhouse (expensive) and golf course cafe, which was limiting. A resort should have a nice place to sit and have breakfast. Very friendly service but not resort-quality. Free high-speed internet in every room - nice. All in all I would probably go back here and try one of their suites.

Upon arrival I came into the clubhouse to hear a baby crying. While checking in the agent had a baby on her hip while checking me in. I can not believe how unprofessional this was. This is not even close to a resort scene. This is the first thing I saw when I checked in and I had a bad impression of the resort the whole time. Does the management really allow this to happen? I pay too much $ to have to walk into a day care while on vacation. I will never stay here again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at the Golf suites in August and after getting lost many times due to major roadworks on the I10 we were nicely greeted in reception and allowed to check in much earlier than alloted time. We had a 1 bedroom apartment and it did look very 'tired' but the bed was so comfortable. The view was beautiful from our patio, directly across the golf course to surrounding hills. The walls were very thin as we could hear a pin dop in the next door studio. The pool was lovely, very clean and quiet. The suites were a comfortable distance from Tucson but near enough when needed.
