We were very pleased with the Westward Look. Our room was large and quiet. We enjoyed the walking path. They should just add the $15.00 resort charge to the rate - it would still be reasonable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Massage chairs in the lobby were also really nice!

What a trip! A girls long weekend away resulted in such relaxation as we didn't think possible. The service at Westward Look was impeccable. The food delicious. The scenary breathtaking. The activities kept us buzzing. The spa treatments were amazing. And, those beds! Could they have been more inviting or comfortable? No way! We were so central and easily able to explore Saguaro National Park, St Xavier Mission and all the other Tuscon attractions -- but, felt a million miles away at the same time. Secluded and in nature and able to dip into the rest of the world as and when we felt like it. Can not believe what great value it was! Hope to return soon!

Room Tip: They do great staycations, i am told.

The property is in the foothills of the mountains, and the setting is very natural.
The rooms are either very large or HUGE, depending which building. Even the large rooms are much more than a single person needs.
The free wi-fi worked well sometimes, other times, no.
There are lots of choices for activities/exercise. Horses, volleyball, hiking, swimming, tennis... A great place for a family staycation.
The catering staff did a wonderful job for our group. We had breakfast and lunch plus two snacks every day. The food was very appetizing, with a good vegetarian offering at each meal. Great fresh pineapple, which is always hard to come by.
My company paid for the room, so I can't comment on the rate. I think the rates are quite a bit cheaper in summer and pricier in winter.
The staff was well-trained to greet each guest. Even the gardeners greeted us each morning.

Room Tip: Some rooms are pretty far from the lobby. Ask.

The Westward Look Resort outside of Tucson is great is you're looking for a relaxing trip in the desert and not trying to play golf. The resort itself is massive, one of the largest I've seen that doesn't have a golf course. They have three pools, one of which is a lap pool, two hiking trails, one that you can take on horseback, a cute chef's garden that you can visit and sample from, tennis courts, and a decent restaurant and bar. The property has all desert landscaping and is home to all kinds of animals scurrying about day and night. It was refreshing to see a resort in Arizona that embraces the natural environment instead of the Phoenix resorts that try to create a more tropical than desert landscape. This has to be one of the most beautiful resorts in the state.

What a lovely place. Laid back in all the right ways. All the staff members we met were sincerely friendly and helpful. The room (bldg5, rm#320) was a king bed near the lower pool. It was uncommonly large, nicely styled, and very comfortable, with complementary bottles of water and a refrigerator. Great shower, big with strong water pressure and HOT. A sliding glass door led to a small lawn and the pool, also great viewing of our visitations from bunnies and havalina! Sadly we only stayed one night, the good news was that even though we had to check out at 11am the hotel offers you to stay and enjoy the amenities for the day. So we stayed poolside until 2pm and used the fitness area to change (there are showers there too). Didn't use the fitness machines but they look new and face big windows, also there are lots of weights and a separate lap pool/hot tub in the fitness area. There is a restaurant that we did not try, but the menu looked good. There is also a coffee bar in the lobby that serves Starbucks drip, espresso, and bake goods. Be sure to take advantage of the complementary massage chairs and news papers in the lobby, we thought it was a nice extra. Overall would highly recommend this resort. Also would note location is very close to a nice shopping area with a Whole Foods, restaurants, etc. Do not miss the organic french bakery "Frogs", the best croissants in Arizona!

My husband and I arrived in early August, 2010. We were combining a business meeting of his with our 20th wedding anniversary. From the very beginning, I felt well cared for... the attendant outside of the lobby greeted me and offered his assistance.

Room was spacious, clean, quiet and looked over a dry creekbed. I sat out on the balcony many days and watched the wildlife. Hotel employees were very quick to assist when there was a leak in the roof from the monsoon rains. Luckily it was at the door of the room! They even offered to move us if we wanted to.

Pools were well maintained as well as all the trails. I enjoyed walking the easy trails on a daily basis. Lots and lots of mountain views, wildlife and plant life to enjoy and photograph.

I was dissappointed that the GOLD restaurant was closed over the summer for dinner as well as the telescope being out of order. Although the bar served very good drinks and the breakfast entree of huevos rancheros was YUMMY!

My husband and I indulged at the spa for our anniversary. I had a pedicure and my husband had a facial. No complaints here.

The food provided for the conference was obvious made for the masses. Not that tasty, but filled the void. Breakfast was the best meal of the day.

I look forward to coming and visiting again. I would like to visit during the winter to see all the birds. I am a bird lover! I've heard you can't beat Tucson for the birding in the winter!

We were looking for a brief respite from our busy work life and the resort did not disappoint.
Totally enjoyed the peace and quiet, absolutely devoid of traffice noise. The sactuary of this resort was only interrupted by the sounds of birds and other animal life, a rather welcome one at that. The resort is situated just minutes away from Sabino Canyon. We would recommend to all of the lovers of ice cream, gelato or sorbet to visit Frost located a few minutes from the Resort. When we return to Tucson I know where we would be staying. Just a quick bit of advice to the house cleaners, please remember to the clean the vents, it makes a big difference for those of us with certain allergies. Overall a couple very satisfied with this resort and all the amenties offered.
