We stayed at WestwardLook more than a dozend times now and we never were disappointed. Although there was a little bit more personal touch while the resort was in private hands until it was acquired by Wyndham it is still our number 1 in Tucson. The housekeeping ist excellent, gardening staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious, offer very comfortable beds and large baths.
We do not have breakfast at the "Gold room" since the menu offers the same every time. There are 3 pools; lower pool is the more quiet. It is only a bit noisy when there are events or special holidays like Memorial Day etc.
They offer numerous in-room and resort amenities. You have breathtaking views downtown and westwards to Gates Pass.

Room Tip: Don't book "Posada Rooms" because it could be a bit noisy from central pool.

Dear Dietmar M,

Thank you so much for your patronage and loyalty over the years and for taking time to share your thoughts with others. The high marks you’ve awarded us are truly appreciated, as is your recognition of our staff! We will certainly continue to work hard at earning such marks each and every day… including those personal touches. In fact, we are now offering daily breakfast specials in GOLD for our guests with multiple night stays.

Thank you again for sharing and we look forward to your next visit!

spent a friday and saturday recently. 1. The food:The gold resturant, we have a quiet breakfast and on sunday a late breakfast for a family group of 16. Food was wonderful and service was great on both occasions. Dinner friday was in the bar, they had live dance music and the burgers with homemade chips were perfect. 2. The room. Our room was next to the pool and was not too noisy. One of our group had a room by the basketball courts and that was noisy till late night. The bed was comfy but we did hear that they have rooms with only a pull out bed. The price dictates what you get. So kow that before you book. 3. Parking. This was the sore point. For a resort, parking is inadequate and can be far from the room. The paths are not lit, so it can feel and be dangerous at night when you walk from the parking to your room, carry a light or use your flashlight app on your mobile. It is a serious safety issue that this place needs to fix. To add to your woes, the signage is poor so you will get lost:-) we wandered into a wedding reception. They charge a 20 Usd nightly resort charge. They should put this money to better lighting and signage. I would have given this place 4.0 but customer safety is a unacceptable tradeoff.

Room Tip: Away from basketball courts, the rooms with 100 numbers.

We stay here every year since 2006 on a vacation with our young grandson. It is very pretty in the foothills of the Catalina mountains. And yet practically across the street from a Safeway grocery store and a Walgreen's Drugstore for supplies.
Comfy rooms and the stars at night are unreal. Pool is chilly though so don't expect evening dips unless you are a polar bear. We preferred it when it was privately owned before Wyndham bought it though. The resort is old and feels historical.

We have been staying at the Westward Look for 11 years in a row. During this time we have seen many changes, including Wyndham taking over the property. One constant has been the outstanding customer service we have received by the employees. I would like to especially thank Nathan at the front desk and Megan in the bar and grill. They have given us outstanding service and friendliness for many years. We have also gotten to know many other employees and they have also treated us with kindness and made us feel welcome. Raymundo continues to do an incredible job with the grounds which are beautiful. Our rooms our clean and well maintained and whenever we need anything, someone is there to help. We have visited all of the other resorts in the Tucson area and continue to come back to our "home away from home" at the Westward Look.
