“Excellent hiking”
Reviewed 4 January 2014

The Parks are all really good. The hiking trails are superbly well managed and it is just about impossible to get lost. The views are wonderful. The scenery changes as you climb higher. Recommended.

“Great hikes, off the beaten path.”
Reviewed 3 January 2014

Really enjoyed both Brown Mountain and David Yetman trail in this park. Convenient as we were staying in the Marriott Starr pass. Great, lively hikes with terrain that was just the right intensity for a city family pushing themselves. Signs a little light, but worked our way through and well worth it - would clearly go back!

“A great alternative to the National Park (if you have a dog)”

Great trails, well maintained park. Fantastic views and great picnic choices. Borders on the Saguaro National Park, and has very similar scenery

“Great place to view cacti”
Reviewed 29 December 2013

This is a very nice cacti area situated high above Tucson. The heat is not that intense here. The landscape is wild with nice rocks and it is easy to arrange a picnic here.

“Cacti, cacti, desert floor and lovely hikes...”
Reviewed 21 December 2013

First know this park is free entrance verses like Sabino Canyon. My friends that live in Tucson live near the park, what I like about this park is you can park on the side of the (paved road stops) and then just get on a trail. I really loved the amount of saguaros throughout the park! Worth a day hike and remember to bring lots of water and remember where you parked if you hike off the standard trails.
