We stayed 2 nights in this quiet and peaceful lodge. Our room was nicely furnished with plenty of room, nice bathroom, mini-fridge and beautiful Southwest decor. Rather than providing breakfast, the lodge gives each guest a $10.00 voucher for the restaurant next door that can be used for breakfast or lunch. We ate breakfast there twice. The 10.00 voucher covered our meals both times and the food was very good. The lodge is far enough from the city to offer a peaceful desert stay, yet it only takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown Tucson. It's location is very close to the Arizona Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park. The rooms open up into a beautiful courtyard that is gated, so it felt very safe.

Cat mountain Lodge is a wonderful change from the B&Bs in Tucson near the university and in the more populated areas of town. It is just a few hundred yards from the desert monument and hence in a very quiet and serene neighborhood. The main road has little traffic later at night, and it is very still. We have stayed in two rooms and seen the others and they are all nicely decorated, fairly to very spacious, and open to a central desert garden atria within what seems like a large hacienda. The suite is especially large.

We like hiking in the monument and enjoy the peacefulness of staying away from town. Also the nearby restaurant, where breakfast is served (you receive a credit ticket), has good and reasonably priced food, though the menu is somewhat limited. In contrast with most B&Bs where there is only one menu per day, it is nice to explore the menu here and decide for yourself what you want every morning.

The staff at CML are quite accommodating and helpful. They gave my wife and I instructions on hiking trails. We didn't use the nearby observatory, but I imagine this would be fun in warm weather.

The grounds are quite nice with plenty of room for a pleasant lunch or group meeting.

There is good wifi and the small central area is good for morning coffee and reading the daily newspaper. We will return here for certain.

Room Tip: Each room is different so check with the staff to enure you reserve the best fit.

I stayed only one night with limited time at the lodge. The rooms are arranged around a gated and secured courtyard which is well landscaped. I had a room with 2 queen beds for myself and my son. The room was very spacious and even had a small loveseat for tv viewing and a small dining table with chairs. The bathroom was tiny but functional. Overall a great setup for an extended stay for anyone wanting to visit in the area. It still smelled new and was spotless, well decorated and peaceful. We were there to visit the Kitt Peak Observatory (about 1 hour or 1.25 hours away depending on your speed). We received a $10 voucher each for the next door diner where we had breakfast that morning. No complaints and would stay again, although the price is definitely on the high end of our budget. No swimming pool or fitness center.

Room Tip: Rooms can be viewed at the website and the pictures are very accurate.

This B&B is in a perfect location for visiting the Saguaro National Park and surrounding attractions. It is perfectly decorated in a southwestern theme - such attention to detail! Everytime i would look around the huge suite we had, l would see more art work. there are fantastic meditative gardens would native plants. The local birds - humming birds, quail and cardinals to name a few - are attracted and you can sit and watch them. Saguaro and agave are on the property as well as an observatory! I saw a jack rabbit. The manager has wonderful suggestions that were perfect for our trip and we would not have known about otherwise ( e.g., where to eat, to go over Gates Pass). I could not be more pleased. We will be back.

Room Tip: there are no bad rooms. I was traveling with my brother so we needed separate sleeping and fairly l...

We recently stayed at Cat Mountain and thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. The room was wonderfully decorated in the southwestern theme, the bed was very comfortable, and it was quiet, a real plus for a light sleeper. Everything about our 3 night stay was perfect and we highly recommend this to anyone who wants good quality and friendly atmosphere.

Room Tip: We stayed in Spencer's Suite and it was spacious and very well appointed.

Cat Mountain Lodge was great. We did the two hour observatory and got a full two hours of personal attention from an astronomer. She let us look at whatever we wanted and got to see stars, super novas, galaxies, just to name a few. I recommend doing the observatory for anyone staying. The lodge rooms were huge. Four of us stayed and enjoyed the garden, hummingbirds, and overall atmosphere. Staff was great and we have nothing but praise to say about the place. Breakfast vouchers were more than adequate for a huge breakfast at the Coyote Pause Cafe which was within walking distance. I read the reviews before we went and everyone was dead on. The lodge did allow us to bring our 5 and 8 year olds and the 5 year old claimed the "fancy hotel" was the highlight of his trip. Easy commute to Sonoran Desert Museum, Old Tucson, Saquaro National park Visitor center. Had movies in the lobby (no kid ones) you could get any time.

Room Tip: Sierra Madre is great for families with children. Real spacious.

This lovely Bed and Breakfast met and exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Ambiance, service, landscaping, you name it and they have it covered beautifully. I am already looking forward to visiting again.

Room Tip: Take time to walk around the grounds and research a bit about the owners. Their story is fascinating...
