“Still in question”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

While playing golf with 50 of our friends, we had a VERY BAD experience. We were putting on an elevated green, where we could not see our golf carts. After we putted, we went down to where we had left our carts to discover that ours and our friends' cart had been stolen. The thieves eventually abandoned the carts, but did take off with 4 sets of very nice golf clubs, my purse, my friends wallet, 3 iPhones, a gold watch, credit cards, cash, prescription glasses, and much more. Ventana's insurance company has declined the claim for now. We are waiting to hear from Ventana. We have been going there with this large group for 15 years and were quite surprised to hear that from their insurance company. I will definitely post the final outcome.

“Great layout oddly slow to play”
Reviewed 25 May 2013

Really fun layout. I dont know that a high handicapper would enjoy it, but if are below a 15 it is very playable. Fantastic views, top condition. Layout seems to play slow as all hell.

“Almost six hours in a golf course”
Reviewed 20 May 2013

We played today at La Ventana as a threesome with a club member in our line. We spent 5.45 hours in the course , the ranger never showed up so as to organize the course and when we called the pro shop they said there was nothing they could do about the delay. It was a 102F day, and the beverage cart showed up only once at the fourth hole and never came back again. Conclusion : play La ventana if you like to suffer.

“Challenging course”
Reviewed 3 May 2013

Loved golfing this course. Had to rush to get 18 holes in before dark, but it was a beautiful course. Challenging, but not above my intermediate golfing ability.

“Enjoyable Round of Golf”
Reviewed 30 August 2012

A resort course in very good condition. An enjoyable round with lush fairways, true greens and some beautiful views. Not the greatest challenge for the lower handicap player compared to the Mountain course, but still a good test of golf with a choice of 5 tee boxes. One downside to the course is th 1 mile trek between the 9th and 10th tee and several other long drives from green to the next tee.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful.
