For U of A related activities and events you can't beat this location. Not having to deal with parking on campus and being able to walk to sporting events or the student union is a big plus.
The hotel itself though is mediocre. While the decor comes off hip and trendy the bones of this hotel is planted squarely in the 60-70's and are tough to overcome with modern finishes. Low ceilings, tight underground parking, and noise from streets doesn't bode well for our ratings. It sits on Speedway Blvd. which is one of the main East/West streets in Tucson and is quite noisy for rooms facing North. The staff seems to be all part-time college students that are there more for the income vs. a calling. There is not a sense of being guest-centric but simply going through the motions in assisting guests. More
