The good part of my review includes the size of the lots - very roomy with gravel for your RV, a cement patio, and paved parking for 1 car. Also included are a wire patio table with four chairs. There are also fruit trees at a number of sites and though they are somewhat small it is nice. The laundry, showers, workout room, rest rooms are clean and very nice. KOA is new here and they did not keep help from the previous owner which would have helped them immensely. As friendly as the yellow shirts were they were not helpful to newcomers to get around town. NOT helpful! Would I go back sure but there were improvements needed. Musicians really wanted to play together but the piano was out of tune, the suggestion of setting out sign up sheets were ignored, and the activities sheet did not include it the week after we arrived! UGH. Lots of RV's are set up permanently with wheel covers and dusty rigs and cars. We applaud the park for not letting people make their site look permanent. It's not a family park, no playground or other areas for kids to play. Wonderful dog park, very large and cleanl Florazilla restaurant is just ok. Fish Fry Friday was just some frozen breaded fish filets with some french fries for 9.99 but not very good!. Tried to help redeem them with a pizza order but they screwed up our order and we had to wait 45 mins to get it. .Back in sites are not very level. Noisy air traffic, trains and emergency vehicles. Not a good neighborhood - police visit a poor and old mobilehome park just behind Lazydays. Shots fired two nights during our stay. Shopping that is nice is about 8-9 miles away. We didn't get good WI-FI but were situated under a high electricity tower. Ask about the massage therapist on site, she was excellent - she comes to your place - bless her!
Met some nice people from all over the US and Canada. Stay for a month and you will get a great discount. Hope KOA is not going to up the prices. For this part of town their prices are high enough!

Room Tip: If you stay for a month you get a great rate at this RV Park. Like getting the fourth week free!

We have stayed at this spot through three ownerships (Beaudry/Lazydays/KOA) and it has always been nice. Our recent stay was excellent and the current ownership is doing an excellent job of upkeep, etc

I have stayed here in the past and do not see many differences since this became a KOA a little over a month ago. The two items I have noticed is that you need to enter on a different street and the 24 hour security is no longer there. The new entrance is no problem and the lack of security at the entrance makes this park like 98% of all the RV Parks. The park is clean with paved roads, gravel sites, concrete patios, patio furniture and the delux sites have hedges and grass. The office staff is friendly. They have a restaurant with decent food and prices. The park is next to Lazy Days and across the street from La Mesa for service of your RV. Without looking at last years receipts I believe that with the KOA Valu Kard the prices are either the same or slightly lower. Not the best part of town for shopping but there is a Costco and Walmart about five minutes away. Camping World is also five minutes away. We will be back. There is train noise at night which I heard at about five in the morning. Also you are close to the Air Force base and you hear an occasional plane. Lazy Daze RV Resort was sold to KOA and is not a corporate-run KOA campground masquerading as an RV resort. Although not in the best part of town, until yesterday there were 24-hour security guards patrolling the resort and manning the entrances and exits. Today the gates were wide open with no security in sight. They have also permanently (so we're told) closed the gate between the Lazy Daze RV dealership and the campground - cutting off where a lot of people walked and forcing you to drive out of your way to get to the sales lot, service and parts department. Since the change from Lazy Daze to KOA, the wireless internet has been unreliable and often, simply unusable. They have also not been able to keep the hot tub open and functioning.

The park itself, including the bathrooms and laundry, are clean. The staff is friendly and the sites are level and fairly wide. All things considered it's not a terrible place for snowbirds to spend a month or four... but at $750/month, there are better options.

Room Tip: For best results, try to pick a site that is in a line of sight to the wireless internet repeater or you won't have any service when/if the service ever works again.
