“Great for hiking”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

Awesome scenery at every turn. So many hiking trails to choose from. We went mid April, still some snow at the top, and very windy and cold, but rewarding birdwatching. Hiked the Wilderness of the Rocks Trail next day, very pretty, better weather, more great birdwatching, about 30f cooler than Phx.

“Nice drive”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Interesting to see how the vegetation changes as you climb up along the mountain side. Nice views. You can do trekking ones you reach the village close to the summit, 3 000 meters above sea level.

“Gain some elevation”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

Be prepared to go slow and relish the ascent up the mountain. It was 30 degrees cooler than Tucson where we hiked, between 8,000-9,000 feet elevation. Plus, the experience of seeing the transition of the flora of the desert is a don't miss.
