My wife and I stayed there overnight to celebrate her birthday. Front desk staff, Jude Matthew, checked us in and was very pleasant and courteous. He took the time to explain to us the layout of the hotel/resort, the amenities, restaurants, charges (what was included or not) and other info to make our stay great. He gave us a room with wonderful views of the city and the mountains.
He made the reservation for our dinner that night. We were disappointed that the Primo restaurant was closed (main reason why we went back to Starr Pass -- we ate there 3 years ago) but it turned out that food at the Signature Grill was just as great.
When we went back to our room after our dinner, there was a greeting card wishing my wife a happy birthday along with a bottle of champagne and chocolate cake. It was more than we expected.
We didn't really have time to do activities or enjoy the amenities in the resort, since we had to go back to Phoenix in the morning, but we had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean, super comfortable bed, magnificent views, great food, and staff we encountered -- whether in front desk or the restaurant -- were awesome.More
