“This place is incredible!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2011

My sister and I (ages 19 and 29) went to this ranch, and we did NOT want to leave! We had so much fun playing with all the animals, were taken on a great tour, and the stories we heard were amazing. This place is THE spot to see mini horses and goats. The animals are gentle and have great personalities, and we just laughed the whole time we were there. This place is not to be missed whether you have small children, no children, or adult children. Go visit this mini horse ranch!!! Call before you go, and be sure to be there early in the morning (around 8-9am).

“Little tiny horses everywhere! (+goats and chickens)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2007

I chaperoned a field trip to Picture Rocks Miniature Horse Ranch with 2 first grade classes, and everyone had a blast. There were mommy goats with their kids to pet, and plenty of miniature horses (miniature horses stand 38" at maximum, and most are significant;y shorter--a perfect size for small children to feel comfortable getting close to). When I asked, the owner admitted he wasn't even sure how many he had--about 50. Most of the animals were quite friendly and the kids were able to pet, hug, and feed them. We spent a lot of time, first with the mares (some of whom were pregnant) and then with the stallions. A few of the horses were unbelievably personable and came right up to us and started licking. The kids also got to feed the chickens and take pictures holding baby goats. We even got some chicken eggs to take back to school and put in our incubator. There are canopies you can picnic under (right next to a sink where you can wash your hands). This is a great day trip out of Tucson for kids of any age.
