It is a wonderful place to take children. The wonders of the imagination are explored here especially at night.

Valley of the Moon is absolutely wonderful! This nonprofit attraction is run by volunteers, many of them dressed like fairies and other magical creatures. There is nothing high tech about the grounds; picture winding paths revealing little rock fairy-sized houses. I can't think of anywhere else in Tucson where the innocence of children is honored, the core values are kindness and imagination, with zero commercialism. They offer a variety of events such as Peter Pan productions featuring local teen actors, a Halloween production, story telling, historic tours, music and quirky events. Check the website or Facebook page before visiting, they aren't open every day. Most events are held for donation and are free for little kids. It is well worth the effort to find the Valley of the Moon hidden north of Prince off Tucson Blvd.

This is one of those hidden quirky unique places that can't be found anywhere else. It is a simple mixture of props, theatre, and one's imagination-- please bring your imagination and good humor with you. It's great for young kids and family fun! Please note that there are no "frills" here, just simple old-fashioned fun.

The volunteers that run this mini-park put on shows throughout the year. One of their goals is to preserve the original owner's very important message, which is wonderful. We try to go every year and enjoy it (and we are all adults!). This establishment is truly unique. For more information, check out their website.
